Red itchy spot on vagina

I recently engaged in unprotected sex, however the guy I was with said he was clean. Two days ago I found that I had two itchy spots on the outter lips of my vagina. It is slightly swollen and itches like crazy. I have no idea what this is. please hellp!

i have had unprotected sex about 2 weeks ago and i have discovered a spot on my flap kinda thing and its really sore when i touch it and it is also swollen. I want to go to the doctors and get checked out but i am too embarressed. I am so worried as to what it is. Please help and give me advice ASAP. Thanks x

you need to go and be seen. You need tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally for starters. discuss with your provider what std testing to have done too.  Odds are this partner isn't getting routine std testing so it's probably best to cover your bases. You can test for chlamydia and gonorrhea anytime after 1 week post encounter, syphilis after 6 weeks, hiv after 3 months and herpes anytime after 3 or 4 months.

Only an MD can properly diagnose your condition. The not knowing, the ontological fear of it is a killer but put that behind you and see the doctor.
