Red patch by corner of mouth

Well I posted a question last night about a red spot on my penis shaft. Title was : Tiny red spot on penis 3 days after sex.

Today I noticed a small red patch near the corner of my mouth. Just looked more red then the rest of my skin. So I shaved the small area (I have been growing out my beard a little bit) and washed it really well about 5 times today using cetaphil face cleanser. Its still the same red, but now its dry and itchy....Im probably being paranoid but anyone have any ideas?

Im such a hypo about STDs and I cant it out of my head. I am calling Planned Parenthood to set up an appointment tomorrow but can someone ease my fears or confirm them?

It would be unlikely for you to get a cold sore in the same place she has it.

If you don't have insurance, call your local heath dept and ask what services the offer for people without it.

Like I said in my other post, I have no insurance. This last week or so after quitting marijuana, my emotions and thoughts have been a freaking rollercoaster. I go from happy to feeling like sleeping all day long. My sleep schedule is random also. Im a painter and luckely my current job is painting my mothers house and staining her fence, so she has really cut me slack on my work habit at the moment. She is happy I finally decided to quit the weed. The carpenters doing all the remodeling are going really slow so its working to my advantage also. I have put back all my other jobs for a few weeks since they were just powerwashing decks.

The girl I was with said she was tested for a broad list of things recently and has said I was the only one she has been with, but Im not convinced I can trust her because I saw her last night and I saw some sorta cracking in the corner of her mouth. Whether its just chapped lips or whatever, it has creeped into my head and wont leave especially since I have this red blemish forming almost in the same area as her.

A little red patch could be anything, or it could be nothing.  It doesn't sound like an std, though.

You are going to over-clean the area, and cause dryness, itchiness, etc.  Leave it alone.

Have you ever gotten help for this anxiety?  This is going beyond std-paranoia.
