Red skin sensitive penis head

ok so 4 weeks ago I received Oral from a woman who said she got genital herpes, not oral herpes, like 20 years ago. I did not have sex with her only received oral from her. A couple of days after that the skin on the right side of my penis shaft just under the ridge of the head of my penis got red. I am circumcised it doesn't really itch or burn or anything like that. There are no blisters or bumps, or discharge or anything like that. After I masturbate it gets more red then when I haven't masturbated for a couple of days. The head of my penis is sometimes sensitive, not to sensitive that I can't stand it but just a little sensitive. It does not hurt when I pee or anything like that.

I do however have a history of exzema, and I have had some fungal infections in my armpit, and on the palm of my hands.

Can anyone help me with this?

Yes, you could always put a large bandage over the cream so it does not rub off.

Yeah I am using the cream twice a day I am supposed to use it for two weeks, this coming tuesday will be two weeks and it hasn't really gone away yet, good news is it hasn't spread yet or changed at all so I know it isn't anything other then a skin rash/fungal infection, but I think part of it might have to do with when I put my clothes on after I put the cream on the medicine rubs off, should I leave it on for a while before puting clothes on?

Are you using the cream as often as you are supposed to be?

It can sometimes take awhile to get rid of these things, so keep using it.  If it hasn't gone away in another week, follow up with your doc.

ok so here is an update, I don't understand it really it has been a week since I have started putting the medicine on my penis and the redness goes away some when the medicine is on my penis, but it isn't getting any better yet, when the medicine is off of my penis the skin still gets red. Although the sensitivity in my penis head has pretty much gone away... Any suggestions?

Yeah it sounds like a typical Dr. But I don't see anything wrong at what he did.

Ok yesterday I went to see the doctor about this, and he just looked at it a little and then prescribed the same steriod cream that I was already using and he told me that I just need to use it long enough so it wont come back. So he told me to use it twice a day for at least 2 weeks... does this sound about right? Should he have done more then just look at it?

Ok a little update, after a couple of days of using the steriod cream it has pretty much gone away, there is still some slight redness, but hopefully that will go away shortly too. I have an appointment with my doctor, and will talk further with him, but in the meantime it is going away with the steroid cream

Ok thank you, I will go to the doctor as soon as possible to figure out what is wrong then. Thank you. She didn't have a cold sore, and I suppose that if she did have a cold sore then I would have started getting cold sores because I kissed her too.

I did not say yes to her knowing that she has genital herpies. I found out a couple of days later when I started seeing the red skin. Then I asked her

abhi1981-we don't pass judgement on people here, so the comment about why did you say yes to this women is really out of line.

scaredguy707-gential herpes would not matter in your case of just receving oral sex. if she had a cold sore on her mouth then i could say that herpes is a possiility, but without a cold sore the chance would be very very low.
but your symptom doesn't point to herpes. and to show up that soon, that is why i don't think it's herpes.

I dont understand why did you say yes to the women who already have genital herpes. YOU shouldnt have interc** with someone having this history unless you are serious about that women.

Did you see any other symptomps as well? better consult a doctor, it could be just a fungal infection.

Yeah I know it is better to see a Dr. But you don't think it is herpes or anything since the woman does have genital herpes?

we always think that it's best to see a Dr rather then self medicate no matter what it is. so that is why we say see a Dr.

Well that is what I was thinking I have this steroid cream that the Dr gave me a long time ago for the fungal infection in my armpit, and I have used it on the palms of my hands and that went away also, and I have tried using it for a day or two on my penis, and it seems to go away a little but I can't really tell.

does sound like a common infection and not an STD. i would see a Dr for the proper treatment.
