Redness / sensitivity on head of penis

Hi all hoping that someone can help me with an ongoing issue that I've been having.

I am a 35 year old married circumcised male.   I had been going to massage parlors on occasion ( maybe 20 times over the year )  however they would only masturbate me with the use of some baby lotion with their hands and sometimes with their breasts.  I never had oral or anything like that.   I once back in ( Oct 2008 ) had intercourse with a prostitute for 5 min but with a condom and it was intact afterwards.   She was not someone of the street but a prostitute non the less.    The only other thing that had happened out of the ordinary ( prior to this infection ) was that I cut the tip of my meatus ( just beside my pee hole ) with an electric razor while shaving that caused it to bleed a little bit..   This happened around the 20 th of Nov 2008.

Just over a year ago Dec 2nd 2008 I had some sort of infection on the tip of my penis.   It appeared that there was something leaking out that was sticking to my underwear that hurt quite a bit.   I immediately went to a clinic to get it checked out.   I have never had any issues with my penis until this point in time so I was a little nervous and did not tell the dr about the intercourse experience however did say that I had gone to a massage parlor.   He gave me some treated me for Chlamydia and gave me antibiotics DOXYTAB (Doxycycline)  for 10 days with some cortozid steroid 1% cream for the pain.   The initial leaking symptoms cleared up relatively quick however there seemed to be a lingering redness on the head of my penis where it would touch my underwear and sore around the meatus "pee hole".

Dec 24th 2008,  I went to another clinic as my penis still did not feel normal.    The Dr gave me Cipro (Ciprofloxacin) for 10 days and tested my prostate to see if it was enlarged and she said it was not. I also peed into a cup and they tested for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia that came back negative.

Jan 15th 2009 , I went back to the same clinic as Dec 24th , and saw a different dr complaining about the same redness and sort of dull burning pain ( increased while rubbed ).  The Dr gave me some Anti fungal cream  ( 15 HC 1% Lamisil Cream ).  Put that for two weeks but still did not help.

Feb 3 2009,  I went to go to see a Urologist ,   he looked at my penis there was nothing leaking out the hole but it was still irritated ( reddish ) and sore to the touch.   He  gave me 7 days of Cipro (Ciprofloxacin) but was pretty certain that I did not have an infection.

Feb 27 2009,  I went to a general physician for a consultation as I was going to have a vasectomy done.  I explained the redness and sore on the top of the head of my penis and he told me that it looked to "norrmal" and told me to stop using any creams.

March 16th 2009,  I went to my general physician and explained that I had this red irritated spot that made my penis sensitive to the touch and hurt.  She gave me 14 days of Diaxaprol antibiotic but before that swabbed my penis with a Q tip to check for gonorrhea and chlamydia.  Both of these tests came back  neg when the Dr called me on April 10th.

April 14th 2009,  Came clean to my dr about possible exposure to STD's ( massage parlors and prostitute ) and she gave me a full STD screen as well as my wife since I had told her the entire story.  On April 17th,  all of the tests from the std screening ( HIV 1, 2,  , HPV, Syphilis , HCV & Herpes ) came up negative for me and for my wife.

April 28th 2009 ( probably unrelated ) had strep throat Dr gave me 40 APO PEN VK 300 mg 10 days (antibiotics )

From april on the redness and pain never really went away.   If I was more active and my penis would rub against the inside of my underwear the more sensitive it would be.

July 8th 2009,  went to see a dermatologist and he looked and said it appears a bit irritated but otherwise nothing wrong.   Told me to not use heavy scented soap for laundry

July 30t 2009,   Red dots started to appear on the head of my penis.   I went to the clinic and the Dr said he thinks that it's fungus and gave me antifungal corticosteroid ( 15 lotriderm cream ) to use for 2 weeks.

August 15th,  re tested for HIV in case there was something missed the first time around.   Test came back neg.

Oct 7th 2009, went to another dermatologist and he told me that he did see the redness ( like where it touched the underwear ) and could have been irritated but otherwise normal skin.

Oct 23 2009, went to have vasectomy done and dr said that he still see's that it's red but does not look infected or anything.

Dec 17th 2009,   appt with the same Dr who did vasectomy again and explained what I have written above and he said the only think that he could think of is that I have nerves pulling on my genital area so he send me for a CT Scan.  Still waiting results.

I know that this is a lot of detail however I am going into detail to see if someone can help me figure out why my penis is still red and irritated to the touch.  One thing that I did not mention is that when I have intercourse or oral sex not the sensitivity is through the roof and I ejaculate WAY faster because of this.   In the summer of 2009 I had gone to see a Psychiatrist and she told me that I had OCD because I was always checking on the internet about my condition.   It seems as though the Dr's think that my symptoms are  psychosomatic and all in my head.   I can say that I understand what they are saying but I find it hard to believe that this would be going on for more then a year and it's all in my head.

To summarize,   dull burning , discomforting pain in the head of my penis for over a year that seemed to have started after the infection ( possible STD ) .   Red irritated when rubbed on my underwear and painful  / very sensitive during sexual intercourse or oral sex.  If anyone has any ideas on how to get back to normal where I did not have to think about my penis all day long I'd give almost anything...

Thanks.

Even more suffering as i am not circumcised.. it is so sensitive and painful that oral sex or normal sex is a nightmare since last 2 years.. ejaculation has to happen in 2-3 minutes.. god knows what will happen to my glan if it goes for 5-10 minutes:( I am dreaming of having a normal penis and the kind of sex i used to have 2-3 years back..

Any responses? me too.  All clear and it still it goes on.  I got paranoid after my penis tip touched the tip of a the public toilet at work so I think it's in my head too (no pun intended) but there is slight inflammation on the side of the tip and that's it.  How can it be psychosomatic when there are physical findings?  it's like something got right into the tip.

Did you ever find anything that would help this?  I have experienced similiar sensations and it's been about 3-4 months now.  All tests (including STDs) have come back negative.

Grace,  I actually thought of the underwear ( originally I bought tight boxers to immobalize my penis ) but it seems now that just the presure alone with the head of my penis pressed up against my lower abdomen makes it itchy / uncomfortable.   I am thinking of trying to buy maybe silk boxers to see if that will help or not.

I will try the corn starch based powder like you said,   and the more this goes the more I really believe it's a sort of non std rash or something...

Thanks again for your response if you think of anything else let me know.  I think what you guys do on this forum is great !

you've covered the std bases at this point. no need for further std testing.

you've seen multiple providers who think that you are making more of this than it really is most of the time.

try something as simple as corn starch based powder before getting dressed every day to cut down on friction and absorb excess moisture.  also if you haven't tried a different style of underwear since all this started, that might also help.
