Oral sex
Oral sex with an infected partner does carry a small risk of HIV infection. If a person gives oral sex (licking or sucking the penis) to a man with HIV, then infected fluid could get into their mouth. If the person has bleeding gums or tiny sores or ulcers somewhere in their mouth, there is a risk of HIV entering their bloodstream.
The same is true if infected sexual fluids from a woman get into the mouth of her partner.
There is also a small risk if a person with HIV gives oral sex when they have bleeding gums or a bleeding wound in their mouth. Saliva does not pose a risk.
HIV infection through oral sex alone seems to be very rare, and there are things you can do to protect yourself. For more information go to our HIV and oral sex page.

ummmm yeah you can get HIV from oral.is it likely?no.but it is possible.
have you ever flossed?if you have you have you probably noticed a little blood on the floss.if you were to blow somebody before those little cuts healed(and you had hiv).you listening?any amount of that blood enters the penis and you can transmit hiv.if you bit your tounge while on a crack fit and you blow somebody with blood in your mouth and they're not wearing a condom or if you have an open cut on your penis.THEN HIV WILL ENTER YOUR BLOODSTREAM.
you should try learning more before you let this guy think he cant catch hiv from oral.go back to school vance.

you can get hiv from oral.if the hooker had a cut in her mouth(like from flossing for example) and gave you oral you will catch whatever she has.i also think you can get hiv if sexual fluids were exchanged.like when you rubbed your penis on her vagina.either way you need to get tested and your dancing with the devil when you mess around with hookers.i would suggest a life coach to show you how to be confident with women, they really work.
Here is what you can get from unprotected oral...gonorrhea, NGU, herpes and syphilis. The pain you are having is not STD related.
Hi. Its been a few days now and the pain i'm experiencing is in the pubic area right above my penis. (Hurts mostly when i cough, sneeze, lift my leg, etc.) Which std could that be related to? In addition I plan on going to get tested for stds and stuff. I found a place to go to. It is about $600 to get tested for everything and about $300 for a partial test (only some stds). Based on my story do you think I should get tested for everything or only some stuff and if so which std's in particular? Thanks.
P.S. I know i must sound paranoid, its just that this is kind of a big thing for me. Thanks for understanding.
Ok but where do I start? Where do I go?
Well, you said just above it and to the right, so its in a gray area, so to speak.
It doesn't really change much - you still need to get this checked out. The only way you'll know for sure what it is is to get checked and get some tests run.
Aj
Thanks again, and where is the best place to get tested for everything. I would like for it to be confidential.
I'm sorry I wasn't clear, but the pain I am experiencing is in my pelvic area and just above it. I wrote that it was above earlier. Does that change anything? Thanks again.
Well, from oral sex, you can get gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes type 1 and NGU. All but NGU are pretty uncommon, and oral sex is lower risk than intercourse. You'd most likely have symptoms from all of these, though.
While you are at the doctor's, you should test just to be sure.
Aj
Thanks. Besides that though, what do you think the chances are that I caught something else. Are there any possibilities that may have no symptoms that apply to my case?
No, pain with an std would be in the pelvic area - like the pubic hair area and maybe just above it.
No std would cause muscle soreness, and it would be constant, and not dependent upon movement, etc.
Still, that said, you should get it checked out. You might have a urinary tract infection or something else going on that needs medical attention.
