STD from receiving oral

I am a male and received unprotected oral two weeks ago from a random person (no idea of STD status). I have been in a committed relationship for 7 years and  feel extremely guilty so I know anxiety could be playing into my issue. I have not had any visible symptoms (other than maybe a VERY small bump about a quarter inch inside my urethra (I'm guessing it has always been there - I have never looked inside before). However, I have had a stinging sensation at the tip of my penis for about a week. I comes and goes and feels fine when I urinate and ejaculate. It feels like irritation from running against my pants. I have tried washing, lotion, neosporin but it still comes and goes. There is no redness or sores but I am just worried because of my bad judgement on the random hook-up. Do you think it could be herpes or another STD? Should I get tested and if so, how soon? Should I refrain from sex with my partner until I get more information? Thanks

your regular doctor is fine , std clinic, local health department clinic - all are fine choices.

since you have another partner to protect, I think you owe it to them to seek out the std testing at the proper times don't you?  I wouldn't bother testing for herpes from this encounter.  If you've never been tested for herpes before, both you and your partner should seek out type specific herpes igg blood testing at some point, especially if you plan on having a family at some point but if you had contracted hsv1 from this encounter ( that was your herpes risk) , you would've already had very obvious symptoms by now.

Thanks Grace-I actually did try not  using anything on it today and it seems better. where would I go to get basic urine testing? Should I be asking for specific tests to be done? If that comes back clean, would you still recommend additional testing as I reach the 3 month mark? I really appreciate your help.

I'd stop using the neosporin , any lotions and any excess washing - they can cause you to have irritation and more symptoms.

go, be seen and get some basic urine testing done for starters. if they don't find anything wrong, try something as simple as using a cornstarch based powder to your genital area daily before dressing and before exercising to cut down on friction.
