There is some dissention on this issue.  I woudl agree with you when you're referring to sex workers from other countries and states in the U.S. (Nevada) where prostitution is legal, STD rates probably aren't through the roof due to regular testing requirements, however, when you look at street walkers, escorts, and massage parlors, these avenues are very risky.  There is no regulation of those industries and studies from these sample groups show high rates of STD's, MUCH higher than the general population.  Street walkers, cheap escorts, and Masseuse's see multiple clients per day, increasing their exposure, and thus increasing their rates of contracting STD's.  When I say sex workers, I'm mainly talking about this risky group of sex workers.  It's danderous road to go down and I caution anyone who is thinking about using these avenues, to reconsider or be safe and remain covered during all sexual contact.

a sex worker really all that much riskier than any other partner. you can even argue that a sex worker is more likely to get regularly tested for std's as well as take proper precautions compared to your average person who thinks they don't date "those" kind of people so they don't always have protected sex and think you only need tested if you have symptoms.

A protected hand job and an erotic massage is not any risk for a std. protected oral sex is about as safe as it gets for contact with another person and not a reason to worry either.

be educated about std's dear, not fearful!!

also please keep all your questions in one post. you just recently asked this same question a few days ago and it was answered and then reposted it again which is what vance was referring to. our read before posting post located under the important announcements tab  asks this. thank you for your future cooperation with this.

All of us on this forum are volunteers and we are here to answer any questions you may have to the best of our ability.  We are here because we want to help, so don't worry about asking questions or disturbing us, however, I believe Vance may be a little forceful in his statement because you have been given answers but you continue to ask the same question in another manner.  The point is, no matter how you ask it, the answer will be the same.

You do bring up a very good point that all people who are engaging in sexual activity with sex workers should think about it.  Is the risk worth it?  If you choose to be as safe as possible and remain covered in your activities, it's the best thing you can do for yourself.  However, there have been isolated cases on this forum where people have reported contracting STI's through protected encounters.  So is there some risk?  There is always some risk as the condom could fail, or you may end up with a person with open sores in their mouth or body, or HPV, etc.  The only thing you can do is take precautions by using protection every time and just understand there may be consequences to your actions.  However, the risks are very low if you use protection 100% of the time.  Obviously the only full proof method is taking care of your sexual urges by yourself.  I hope this helps, and be safe out there.

Hey man, Hanger is correct, staying away from sex workers is probably the best thing you can do.  Our stories are well chronicled.

With that said, the activities you're talking about above will not lead to STD/ STI transmission.  Just stay covered and stay safe if that's what you choose to do.

Hey Dude,
This is My sincere advice-- don't even try to dream about an escort, instead go find a girl friend or start a monogamous relationship.Because these things may lead to different dangerous things which you will regret for life time,as I am.
