Shooting pains in groin, thighs, stinging pains in back and hip. Help!!

I am 22, had vaginal sex unprotected 1 1/2 months ago. I have had shooting pains predominately in left side of groin shooting to left inner thigh, hip pains, toes on left foot may go numb. Have had these same symptoms on right side also, just not as intense.

Have been evaluated by doctor and is not a hernia. Does not change with position. No discharge, no burning during urination, no bumps or lesions. The pains have gone down in intensity and have switched to a stinging pain in the same areas and the lower back. This has been going on for one week from intercourse until now just under 1 1/2 months. I did notice a few purpleish dots very close to veins on top of skin not bumpy. Symptoms have been every day for almost 1 1/2 months.

My question is from information I've found herpes sypmtoms go away after 2-3 weeks, and if I would have symptoms of herpes then I should have seen lesions, or visual signs of herpes by now. Is this correct? I am worried and in pain. Doc just thinks I have a pinched nerve. Any Input?????

Its been 4 days down and I have experienced the same problems, on the left hip/ groin area with shooting pains once in awhile, no bumbs or nothing just constant mild pain. I spoken to my girl friend and she said she has been having the same pain but on her left side. Has anyone gotten a good answer from a doctor that stopped these problems.

I have seen so many on this forum with these issues and nothing really gave an answer. I would like to keep in contact with those with these issues so we can get to the bottom of this and help each other. I am going to the doctors Monday but do to my insurance I cant really get much done but I will keep everyone posted.

One more thing, if a member responds to my posts how will I know? Will I get an email or what?

I have also noticed all throughout the forum that the males in this forum are having these pains on the left and all the female are having pain on the right.

It spreads from person to person it seems -- so what is it?/ not a pinch nerve!!

Having symptoms for 1 1/2 months almost non-stop would be highly unusual if it was related to genital herpes.  You need to continue to follow up with your doctor because this is more likely to be a nerve issue like sciatica or something similar.

The shooting pains on one side of the body in your groin, hip, leg and foot do indeed sound like herpes, but if you haven't had any sores on your penis then you can be pretty sure it isn't that. I have had genital herpes for a few years now and I used to get those exact same symptoms, but they would always be followed by an outbreak.
