Small paper-cut on penis keeps reopen and coming back

Sorry if it is not a proper place to post but it is related to penis. I have been getting some small cuts like paper cuts on my penis and I do not know why. I did the blood draw for all std such as herpes, HIV, and etc. I never had sex last 16 months. I do not know why these cuts appearing on my penis. Last year I had 2 small ones and took 7 months to heal because I did not stop masturbation but this time I did not do anything. Should I apply some cream, lotion, meds?
I believe I keep examining the skin down there and it has been to irritated for some reason.
Please help me if anything can make the skin stronger.
Thanks

I have experienced this same thing since I was a teenager.  I'm now married with two kids and still suffer from it.  When seeing the doctor he said it was thrush or candida and that it happens if the penis is over cleaned with anything other than water or is left wet or moist.  This can manifest as  spots on the head of the penis and the infamous paper cuts on the foreskin.

Doc suggested circumcision if it persists.

You asked if pulling foreskin back is near impossible, I find this too since using the cream.  Not too sure how long it'll last this time...but hoping not too long cause it bloody painful.

Hi man. Im going through this right now. I was diagnosed with Yeast infection (candida) a couple of weeks ago; they gave me a prespriction for antibiotic which i faithfully took for the entire 7 day period and they gave me clotrimazole antifungal cream and it did worked BOOM within a week is gone... was temporarily gone. But then it came back few days ago (this is less than a month since it was "cured" or so i thought it was- but now is back the same annoying paper cuts on the foreskin of my penis and im taking clotrimazole but i have a question? is there any body else out there that while applying cotrimazole or any antifungal creme made your skin thicker and made pull back uncomfortable and tight as heck? I have a uncircumcised 6" penis by the way pretty much average but thicker than most. Does that matter and is that normal that after a few days of applying the cream im almost not even able to pull back my foreskin? please let me know

I am a 2nd Year Medical student and to be truthful, I had this same problem for almost 4 months. I've been sleeping with the same girl for nearly a year now. We noticed that things were getting worse and that small paper-like cuts on my uncircumcised foreskin kept reopening and never healed properly. We tried lubrication, lotion, and creams. I researched the internet extensively and was actually too ashamed to see a Urologist. I finally swallowed my pride and made an appointment with the Urologist (which I highly recommend to anyone having this problem). Within two seconds of seeing my problem, he knew what we were dealing with and asked my girlfriend if she had recently had any infections. So my problem was this.... A Yeast Infection. I know, I've always been under the misconception that only women get yeast infections. This is not true. Although less frequent, men can also have these infections. Men and Women often pass these yeast infections back and forth to each other, like a proverbial game of 'hot potato." Yeast, especially Candida, is a common fungus found on the skin of the body, especially in wet, moist places. Therefore, in certain situations there is overgrowth. These yeast causes a drying of the skin (think about yeast's role in breadmaking). The dried skin then cracks and splits when under physical activity (ie. sex, masturbation), and take extensively long to heal. Now for the remedy. As I said, a visit to a urologist is important but you can try this remedy first. I was prescribed an antifungal, specifically Clotrimazole cream. Which I was told to apply after urination to a completely dry foreskin. Naturally I was told to avoid sex and masturbation. Boom! A week later I'm back at the plate, swinging like a champ. Now if you're too offended to see a physician for a antifungal, OTC remedies include Lotrimin AF & "Tough Actin" Tinactin (yes, for "athletes" foot fungus), Canesten, Monistat, and Lamisil, Anyway hope this helps anyone out there with this problem.

Thanks that was extremely informative and very, very helpful. I'm 65 years old, I have never had that problem my entire life.  I went to the doctors office and he told me I had herpes. I said are you crazy, he said I'm sorry.  He proceeded to hand me a prescription for herpes simplex. I kept reading on the Internet and found this blog. All I can say is you help me so much I will go get the Clotrimazole cream tomorrow.. I hope it works! I'll then visit my doctor. Thanks again all of you who have posted all the different replays. That's what makes America great people who care!
I tried lotrimin and nothing happened if not a little worse? I tried my wifes yeast inf cream got all better till we tried sex and now all over again
I had balanitis one time and then it got cured. But I get paper cuts everytime I try to have intercourse. Is circumcision only way out of it?
You should start your own post so your question won't get lost.

Have you seen your doctor for this? How are they treating you? Definitely follow up with your doctor.

Make sure you are cleaning well - use a gentle cleanser, either a gentle soap or a non-soap cleanser, and keep the area dry.

ITS GONE :-) Hi everyone, so I read almost all the posts for this. Turns out that two virgins have it so not a STI. Also at least one guy who seemed like he had been faithfully married with kids for 8 years.
One person got rid of it with Bag Balm (American cream http://www.*******.com/), one used Aqueous (British cream http://www.*********.co.uk/medicines/100000160.html) and one Zinc Oxide.
The married guy had his wife use diaper rash lotion (and that contains - you guessed it - Zinc Oxide)
I managed to get my hands on Zinc Oxide and that worked  (within about 10 days).
It disappeared completely for a few months and then came back so I put Zinc Oxide on it for a day and its gone.
It seems that its some kind of  "deep dryness" since that is what the creams kinda do (the Z.O. kinda changed the texture of the skin a little, felt tougher more "rubbery"). I kept it clean but "oily" i.e. water no soap and tried to skip the occasional shower entirely.
The more I think of it its not that weird. I sometimes get small cuts between my upper and lower lips when its cold that are not too prone to healing. I had tiny scabs for a while that where diagnosed as dry skin by a doctor (I have real trouble with dry skin and I don't like using body lotion, so I guess the skin is fighting back).
Good luck!

Hi;  (SOLUTION)

I first had this when i was around 13- 14 (now 32) while masturbating. The skin down below the penis head got ripped. At the time; the body was strongly healing itself so in years, everything got ok. Experienced the the same after years later on, searched the web whether there were any solutions in years but saw that a lot of people have this so just wanted to share how i deal with it. First of all: This will not exactly heal if you do not take care of it... I did the same things most people did... didnt have sex for months used creams etc... Then I went to a urolog doc. He advised a medical cream called Dermovate (GSK), used it twice a day ( in the morning and before bed) for a week... The skin got healed but i had to try havin sex. BUT rule number 1: The female has to wet before physically having your penis in. So the foreplay must be done.... Dry vajina will immediately torn the skin again. For the first couple of tries, try to be gentle. It worked for me.. since 2 months, i have no problem. Hope this helps
Peace
