So anxious!

So, I am 21 years old. I am sexually active, and I recently been diagnosed with Chlamydia. I was negative for herpes, gonorrhea, and HIV. I took the one time dose, 1 gram, of Azithromycin prescribed by the clinician, and yet I am still experiencing some symptoms. I am currently experiencing the run-of-the-mill UTI and testicular pain. As far as this is concerned - how long until the symptoms are completely diminished? Or, is it possible that the Azithromycin didn't do it's job? I took the Zithromax in the first week of November, I am currently experience mild symptoms and it is now December 23rd.

Also, I have noticed more and more lately that I am growing anxious of silly things after my battle with Chlamydia. Now that I know I am that susceptible, I fear everything I see on my genitals or experience might be an STD. I have done tons and tons of research and I can tell you at the top of my head what symptoms are related to what. Having said that, there is a small bump that is near my anus that has been there since I could remember - I think since I even became more sexually active. However, I worry that it might be a form of HPV. It is one single bump and it has not grown in size nor have any other bumps appeared. To my best understanding, genital warts will, within a period of at least 2 weeks, begin to form cauliflower like clusters or grow in size. Usually around they anus they are flat and skin color. This bump is almost like someone put a ball bearing underneath the skin.

Also, I have noticed that I am experiencing a lot more flatulence than normal. Is that associated with any STD? Or is it healthy? I'd say I experience at least 15 flatulence a day.

And ONE FINAL QUESTION: Is coughing without experiencing flu like symptoms, swollen lymph nodes, sores and lesions, or rash a sign of HIV? Or am I being somewhat neurotic?

Hi

Symptoms of chlamydia for males usally start to disappear from 3 days to 3 or 4 weeks after medication.   Sometimes I can take months for complete cure (it took me just over 2 months).

Flatulence is not associated with any STDs.

A cough without experiencing flu like symptoms etc. is NOT a sign of HIV, it is a sign of a cold/bacterial upper respiratory infection.

You are not being "somewhat nuerotic".  STDs are real as you have experienced first hand.   HIV and the viral STDs are a bit harder to get, but know that they are real and out there.  If you tested for HIV, 3 months post exposure then you shouldn't worry about it anymore.

you need to go back for more testing if you are still having symptoms at this point.

your anal symptom doesn't sound abnormal at all. I think you are to the point where you are noticing normal things and thinking they are abnormal.

gas is not a std sign. normally we all fart 13 times a day so you aren't much above normal at all other than actually taking the time to count how many times you fart.
