Sore Throat

Ok, I know I am being silly with all my fears but seriously I am sick of this sore throat.

Almost a month ago I found out I have high and low risk HPV, mild dyplasia and vag warts. I have had all other STD testing and all neg. I know oral issues from HPV are rare but my throat looks fine yet is burning and I have one of those, you need to clear your throat but nothing comes out or one in a while a tiny bit of phlem comes out. No sores or other symptoms other than I had bacterial vaginosis due to the vinegar used for the biopsy and I had very bad headaches from the oral med so they switched me to the cervical gel. I am sure the infection is gone, my period ws very different, very dark and lots of clots. So...if my tests were all blood/vag swabs, could I have an STD in my throat and have tested negative because there was not a throat swab done? I did have a neg. oral herpes. I think exposure would have been late Oct.

Also do you know if my period changes are due to the HPV or the infection/meds. I have noticed my periods have been different in consistancy for several months, getting worse each month.

I do want to add, when I was in my 20's my doc upped my thyroid med so that it was too high and a side effect was anxiety feelings, where you feel like there is something in your throat and it's hard to swallow. That is not at all what my throat is doing, it is burning, I have a cough. I have been around others who are sick but with dif symptoms than me exactly.

it's really helpful when you keep allyour questions in your original post instead of making multiple new posts. thank you for your future cooperation with this. it's something we ask of everyone in our read before posting post on this forum.

you  have no reason to think that your sore throat is hpv related. follow up on it properly with your provider.  a sore throat for 4 months is something that needs proper follow up .

Thanks Vance, I posted some other questions a day or so ago. If you have any views on those I would appreciate them. I am still trying to educate myself on HPV.

You can tell from my post I didn't get a lot of sleep with this sore throat...and of course I go to the net to research which always causes fears.

So by unlikely the fact that it has been 4 months and my throat is only burning/hurting with no sores than it prob wouldn't be an STD, right?

Yes you could have an oral STD, but unlikely.

Not sure about period changes with HPV, I don't think so but not 100% certain.
