I have a new partner and have had 2 very sore throats the day after having oral sex with him.
The first sore throat was treated with antibiotics and went away.
Now I have another one and I am concerned it may be related to the oral sex/contact with semen.

Oral gonorrhea which it could be does not normally show symptoms and does not show symptoms the next day. I would not be concerned about an oral STD. It's winter time and you can get a number of things not STD related.
