Still have STD or not?

i had unprotected sex with a girl about 4 months ago and got symptoms of a urethral discharge and irritated urethra i went to the doctor and got tested and it came back positive for chlamydia and was treated with zithromax. my partner was treated to. the symptoms went away and came back after about a week. i also have developed discomfort between the area between my scrotum and my anus i thought that this could be herpes and then asked the girl what test she had gotten done she said that she had been tested for everything.....(hiv,chlamydia,ghonorreah,herpes,syphilus) only chlamydia came back positive as she was the one who gave it to me. i went back to the doctor and was tested again given doxycycline and it came back negative. i still have a urethral discharge that is clear, my urethra is also still irritated and that discomfort in my rectum wont go away. i also have a clear discharge after i ejaculate that comes out and have some dribbling after i urinate

why do i have symptoms if both the girl and i now test negative: she says she is fine now and has no problems

what could that anal discomfort be i thought it was herpes but i have never had any sores and the discomfort never goes away its just that area seems always irritated my doctor said it was not herpes and that herpes symtoms go away after the blisters heal then come back periodically

i never had any of these symptoms before the chlamydia now they wont go away
any ideas what may be wrong? thanks

That is why the Dr is the best place to go. But it could still be a fungal infection and you might not be using the cream as directed.

i showed my doctor the anal symptoms he thought it may be a fungal infection such as jock itch and gave me an anti-fungal cream it makes the symptoms go away as long as a use it but once i stop using the cream the symptoms come back so im pretty sure its not jock itch idk i've had this for a few months now and im getting worried :-(

I don't think its herpes.  Did your doctor see this?  Have you shown him your anal symptoms?

Chlamydia causing prostatitis is pretty common.  I don't think anyone knows exactly how it works, but there is a link.

would that mean that i still have chlamydia or not and could the hemorrhoids or what ever is causing the anal irritation be caused by prostatitis?

Is an STD that causes prostatitis common enough? my doctor said i am fine we never talked about prostatitis

and i know that it is impossible to make a diagnose over then internet but from your own opinion would you agree that it is probably not herpes?

thanks so much for the quick response AJ

The rectal symptoms sound like hemorrhoids to me, but the rest isn't.  You should follow up with your doctor and ask for a prostate exam.  Its possible the chlamydia has caused prostatitis.
