Symptoms of oral gonorrhea?

Hi all,

So I had oral sex with a guy (we did it on each other) and two days after that I started having sore throat, low fever for a day and pain when urinating. I went to the doctor's and got tested for all STDs, including a swab test for oral gonorrhea. The doctor said the pain when urinating looked most likely like urinal tract infection due to chlamydia and I got prescribed azithromycin. While all tests results have not been out yet, I started feeling extra sore on the right side of my throat and pain of lymph nodes on the neck a few days after my visit to the doctor's. And then I found that now there are areas of white spots in my throat. I think these white spots were not there when I visited my doctor because it wasn't sore at the time and he would have obviously noticed them had they been there.

So should I be worried now about oral gonorrhea and revisit the doctor before the test results are out? Or does it sound like other kinds of infection? Any input will be appreciated.

You should also have your throat swabbed and cultured for strep and have a blood test for epstein barr, which is the main cause of mononucleosis.

I think you're having tonsillitis due to a bacteria, strep or staph. I still have two white spots on back of my tongue and one spot in middle, doctor said it was chronic tonsilitis, did a throat culture test and results showed both strep and staph.

Thanks for the quick response! These white spots actually appeared about a week after the oral sex. But do you mean that oral gono is only transmitted to mouth when there is discharge from the penis? There was btw no discharge when I was giving head.

Hi since having gono in the penis  is very painful, i dont think he would have let you give him oral sex so i would feel comfortable ruling that out. Sounds like a staph infection. Also 2 days is to short of a time to come down with symptoms either oral or genital.
