Syphilis re-testing

I was diagnosed with syphilis with a tither of 1:2 and reactive. Due to my allergy to penicillin, the doctor prescribed a 2 week treatment of doxycycline. I have completed the treatment. How long should I wait to be retested to make sure the treatment was effective? What would the expected results be?

We can't/don't give out any kind of medicine info.

Wait a total of 4 weeks after medication for a retest. Still seems like a very low number for a recent infection.

No, never. I got the chancre scab about month ago, then got the bloodwork with those results. Is it worth getting bloodwork again soon or should I wait? Is the two week dose of doxycycline a sure cure?

You will probably have a reactive test for a while, but that number of 1:2 is very low, were you ever diagnosed with syphilis before?
