Testicle Pain

I had sex in december and have had pain my left testicle since then. I had urine tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea, I have had a blood test for herpes and syphillis and they all came back negative. I have had no discharge or pain while urinating.  I went to a doctor and he prescribed doxycyline. I was on it twice and the pain has gotten better, it used to have a tingle with it and now that is gone, but the pain never completely went a way so he sent me to a urologist. They put me on azithromycin and ciprofloxacin. The pain might be a little better but is still there. They now told me that there isn't any medicine they could give me that would help and that the pain isn't an std anymore but is possibly something inflamed or a hurt nerve and that I should take advil and soak my testicles in warm water to try to help it and that it may never go away. Is this a believeable answer or should I be looking at going to a different doctor?  What could it be?

Never a bad idea to get a 2nd opinion if you aren't sure that the answers you've been given are correct or not. You've ruled out std's so now it's time to look at other reasons behind this.

The first doctor thought it was epididimytis so then he gave me doxycyline.  When it didn't completely go away I was referred to a urologist.  The urologist just said that it could be inflamation in the epididymis but without surgery he couldn't say where the inflamation could be and since I was on the other medication that there isn't any medicine that he could give me to help.  Also I will mention that it is much better since I first started doxycycline it used to be a throbbing tingle but that is gone.  Also, it seems to get better if I up and moving around sometimes you almost can notice it when I am.  It never gets severe enough that I can't stand it or prevents me from doing anything.  It's just enough that you can notice it.

It is not a STD. Between your tests being negative and the medication taken, buy a remote chance you had a false negative the medication would have taken care of a STD that would have caused this pain.

Not sure what exactly it could be...did any Dr explore the possibility of epidimitis?
