Trichomoniasis/HIV question... Please help!!!

okay, here's the deal:

back in early February, I was diagnosed with Trichomoniasis. I was totally shocked, because I've only had sex with one person back in 2010 (we used a condom and it did NOT break). I did give my boyfriend unprotected oral sex last summer, but I know he hasn't been with anyone else (and yes, I'm positive about this -- I've known him for a very long time). Other than that, I've only been fingered. I decided to stop having sex until I get married because I can't be on birth control due to a heart condition, and I don't trust condoms to be effective enough.

Anyway, back to the problem: trichomoniasis. How could I have gotten it? Can trich be spread through fingering? I only started having symptoms in late January. I took a week's worth of Flagyl, and I was just re-tested today. My OB/GYN took a quick look at it under the microscope and said that everything looks normal, but I'll get the official results in a few days. She also had me get tested for HIV, Hep B, and all those because we'd "rather be safe than sorry."

Should I even be worrying about HIV? I don't see why I should be seeing as I've never had any unprotected sexual encounters except with my boyfriend last summer, but like I said, I know for a fact he hasn't been with anyone else. HIV can't spread through fingering, right? Although, obviously someone that I've been fingered by would have to have it, and no one I know has any symptoms so I'm most likely totally overreacting. Honestly, the only symptoms I've been feeling have been fatigue and a very, very, very minor sore throat/headache this week -- and I'm sure that's because I'm stressing out over what is likely nothing. I also had some sort of 24-48 hour stomach bug at the beginning of January, which was about 2-3 weeks after the last time I was fingered. I don't think they're related at all, but just to give perspective.

I think I'm just freaking out right now because I don't understand how I contracted Trich in the first place, and HIV is obviously a much scarier prospect. Do I honestly have anything to worry about? Some reassurance would be great. Thanks!!

How else can it be spread? I'm sure my OB/GYN thinks I'm lying when I told her I'm currently not sexually active. I told her my sexual history as listed above and she sort of just rolled her eyes as if to say, "Yeah, sure." I just honestly can't think of any way that I could've gotten it.

And as for the HIV, I'm absolutely positive that my boyfriend hasn't been with anyone else, so the one time I did have unprotected oral with him shouldn't be a problem, right? I should also mention that he didn't ejaculate at the time, just pre-ejaculate.

Trich in some cases can be transmitted by non-sexual means and probably in your case this is what happened. I would not worry about anything else.
