UTI/STI diagnosis

Hello, recently (1 week to this day) i slept with someone i did not know personally, all i knew was she practiced protected penetrative sex so i do not know her STI status. Upon climax i did one last thrust and i felt the condom brake so i immediately pulled it out and cleaned myself up with a cleansing wipe (i know this doesn't necassarily stop infection) so my contact was very brief, 2-3 seconds tops! Now the girl looked clean i know that doesn't necessarily count for anything but i mean she looked really clean.. I have been to sexual health experts in my local area and have had two of them say they think it is unlikely i would have contracted anything.

But anyway.. 6 days after the incident i have started to develop a numb sensation in my urethra and have a urge to urinate even upon voiding my bladder, i have been noticing a slight leak in urine after 'finishing' urinating and anxiety kicked in and told me it must be discharge but it is a clear substance the same consistancy as urine so i assume at this point it is so.. But being paranoid i have been wiping my urethra with my fingers and tissue to clean any liquid off it and also to check if there are any internal abnormalities, so my real question here is: Due to the apparent unlikelihood of STI contraction could my mind be playing tricks on me and my body made up symptoms? And my cleaning/rubbing of the urethra potentially caused a urinary tract infection due to the weakened immune system from heavy heavy anxiety? Keep in mind i have been awake for a few nights in the past week unable to sleep due to worrying and stressing over potential damage done and i know that doesn't help anything but if i could stop i really wish i could haha!

Key symptoms are: Numb urethra, urge to urinate frequently, feeling tired (i think due to lack of sleep though) Whilst writting this i have noticed that the symptoms were much worse this morning and through out the day as i am writing this the feeling is very minimal now.

There is no discolouration of the penis, no yellow discharges, my testis are fine and don't feel unusual at all and i generally feel fine apart from the above symptoms :)

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for your reply Tony i am thinking you maybe completely right, it is only the very tip of my urethra that feels sore most likely from all the touching and wiping tissue on it etc. Your words have calmed me down somewhat and i am already booked in for testing. Very much appreciated thank you!

I can almost guarantee this is all an anxiety related. Frequent urination is a classic sign or stress I should know as it happened to me. Almost the moment I got my negative results the urine problems stopped. Real STD signs are burning intonation and very real discharge, not after you've just had a pee because there's always some urine left in the urethra that can be squeezed out my friend. You need to stop checking and squeezing your penis as this just makes the tip red and sore then guess what?! You think it's STD related when really you've done it to yourself through constant checking. The chance of you getting an STD from your exposure was very very small, that's IF she had one and even if she did something the Internet doesn't tell you is that most exposures don't lead to infection. To put your mind at rest I'd get tested but I would fully expect your results to be negative. Hope this eases your worrying. All the best.
