Urinalysis

Does a standard urinalysis can effectively detect gonorrhea?

does gonorrhea can show no symptoms at all, like no dischage from the penis?

this shouldn't be an issue for your partner.

refrain from sex though until properly treated since you know you have a bacterial infection.

Hi grace,

The result is out now, my urinary tract infected with "staphylococcus albus" bacteria.
Do you think this bacteria will infect my partner also? Since i just get teh result but haven't meet the docter yet.

sounds more like a prostate issue than a std.  go and be seen and follow up on it.

call your local health department to see what your local low cost/no cost options are for being seen.

for my cases, what is the best screening method for detecting gonorea?
(urine test? or swab?)
I want to rule them out asap.

I'm 33 yo, I was infected with chlamydia in april 2010, from oral sex. but i found out the infection later in august 2010, with a lab test came back positive. Doctor gave me treatment with doxy for a week and 1Gr Zythromax. And lab check again one month later came back negative. (the lab check is swap liquid from the tip of the penis and so expensive)

and I also check everything else (HIV, HSV I & II, sipilis, chlamydia and normal urine analysis, except GO, because my doctor said there are no GO since there are no yellow discharge and in the urine test show no bacteria.  And we both doesn't test for GO.

While I'm treated for chlamydia, my partner also treated and there are no sex between the treatment period. we both are Faithfull till now and I have concluded that I'm cured until....

Now after almost 1 year from the chlamydia treatment, I have hard time to start a pee. I can stand by for 30 or more seconds in the morning to start a pee. when it's flowing it would go slow first and then fast, but i think it is not much, than it should.

Can chlamydia cause this? since it has been  4 months untreated, could it travel up from urethra to prostate, or kidney??? if it travel upward does the check from the swap efective? or the chlamydia reside in the prostate? and become undetected?

Or is it the Gonorrhea that i missed??? can doxy and Zithromax cure Go?

And today, i really have urgency to pee, and pee is dripping, in the morning it's burning if the pee a little yellow.

I would love to see a doctor, but right now i really cannot afford one. until i get salary on 1st september.

let's start at the beginning here - have you or your partner been tested for gonorrhea?

no a routine urinalysis won't detect gonorrhea.

many folks have no symptoms when infected with std's which is why proper testing is encouraged.
