Very worried i have herpes HELP pls respond!

Hi I hope you can put my mind at rest.....
6weeks ago I slept naked with a boy but had no intercourse but there definitely wouldve been skin to skin contact. Exactly 1 week after I was at the gym and was wearing a pad it felt like it was rubbing between my bum cheeks. I had a shower when i got home and it stung a little. The next night I went to the toilet and wiped my bottom and it stung. I had a look in the mirror and there was 2 red sores just on the inside of both cheeks one on each side directly across from each other they werent open sores just looked like chaffing. I waited a week and they pretty much healed in that time. Anyway I still went to the doctor and she said that the marks where the sores were dont look like herpes as the skin wasnt broken at all. The next day I had tingling on the right bum cheek but couldnt see anything. The tingling continued for a week and I was feeling it on the left cheek aswell now. It was another week before the tingling stopped and I started to feel pain down the back of my leg and also in and around my hip joint and groin. I still couldnt really see anything on the skin except a tiny redness like a little rash but not really just a few dots that werent really red. So I went to the doctor again and I told her all this and she had a look and said she couldnt see anything and she doesnt suspect herpes. It now has been 5 almost 6weeks since the 1st symptoms and I have red pimples in different places on my bum cheeks more towards the groin area. 2 have had a head just like a pimple does and quite red around it. I picked one and it healed straight away. Oh and I still have a mark from the 1st 2 sores.

Do you think this sounds like herpes?
If so if I dont have any open sores how can they test to see if it is?
I dont have any symptoms in or on the vulva or anus.
Please help I dont want to go back to the doctor to be told im worrying about nothing again Im not going to be convinced until some sort of tests are carried out. Ive read alot about herpes and I know how hard it is to be diagnosed.
I havent had sexual intercourse and little sexual contact for about a year as I also suffer from vulvadynia so I know this would be a new infection if so.
Please help. Thankyou for listening.

Herpes sores wouldn't linger for this long.

It could be an allergic reaction, a staph infection, dermatitis - so many things.

Ok thankyou again for all your help. It is so good to have someone to talk to you!
As far as Im concerned I will wait another month and get a Herpes Blood type test to see if HSV2 does show up. But if it doesnt what else could be causing these symptoms?
Tingling
Slight red patch on buttocks cheek (very slight)
Pimples that are quite red with a single whiteish head in this area
Pain down back of leg and in and around buttocks, hip joint and groin
A slight stinging feeling when brushing hand across area mentioned

I dont have ANY symptoms in vagina or vulva area
I did have swollen glands in neck when I had a sore red throat and coldsore on lip but this has passed now and I dont have any flu like symptoms at the moment
Ive now been experiencing these symptoms for 5weeks with sexual encounter being 6weeks ago.
Thankyou again for your time I am feeling alot better mentally

Thankyou again. Ok so you are sure I couldnt have passed it on to the baby from touching the area on me then touching them when applying cream to their gentials?? Cos I know if there is broken skin the virus can get through alot easier and the baby has broken skin from nappy rash etc.

Its possible, but most of the skin on your body is too thick for the virus to penetrate.

You should check out the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com but PLEASE don't start assuming that you have it, because you don't know that yet.

Ok so just a question in general. If you have herpes symptoms and touch that area arent you at risk of infecting yourself elsewhere on your body? Sorry Im just on overload from all the info I have read! arhhhhh Whats true and whats not? Can you advise me on any legit websites that have correct info?
Thankyou for your quick respones!

No.  IF you have herpes, you are not infectious from your hands.

You would only be infectious from your genitals.

But still - remember that you don't even know if you have it.

Thankyou so much for your reply. Im extremely worried about this and you have settled me down a little. Just want to know are absolutely sure that I cannot spread herpes from touching me then touching the baby when changing their nappy? I dont think I have passed it on as when Im changing their nappy Im not usually touching the skin as such cos Im using a wipe. But could it be possible to pass on when Im appling cream on them?

Hi Worry -

I know you got a really good response from Grace in the herpes community, and I can't add anything to her very imformative response.

What you describe in the baby sounds much like the rash my nephew gets - diaper rash.  Unless you have genital to genital contact with the baby, you will not spread it.

Herby - sounds like you might have hemmorhoids.

I have had lots of pimples on my body come and go within 2 weeks.  Mostly they are within a foot of my groing area.  I am going to go to get tested next week probably after I get back from my trip to Mexico.  Good luck.  I'll let you know what I find if I don't here from you first.

I definitely will.
I also have an itchy anus and notice a little bit of blood on the toilet paper when I wipe there. I have had those symptoms for years though and my doctor has told me that could just be from a tiny fissure like a little cut in the skin which can be caused from constipation etc and the itchiness from it healing.....? Im not exactly sure but it seems to make sense....
As for my other symptoms Im completely stumped and extremely paranoid!
What exactly have been your symptoms? Sorry for asking its just nice to know Im not alone

Ok so now Im freaking that if I do have herpes I couldve passed it on to the children Im looking after. They are both in nappies so of course Im changing them all day. They both have a bad cold and have had tempertures etc. Ive noticed the youngest one has little red dots, almost like blisters around his testicals and in the creases around there. He is teething really bad aswell so he has really bad soiled nappies which does cause his bottom to be really sore and often breaks the skin but Im just freaking that this time its herpes!!! I know Im prob over reacting but what if it is?? They are not my children what will happen if it is? Im making myself sick over this that i couldve passed it on. Please help me!!!!
I guess my question is what are the chances of me passing it on if i have touched the area on me where i think im having an herpes outbreak then forgot to wash my hands and then changed their nappy....?
