White bump on the side of my tongue

I started taking penicillin for strep throat 2 days ago. I notice I have a white bump on the side of my tongue, it doesnt hurt but non the less it wasn't their before. It being the day after thanksgiving my Dr is not in today, however in the drug warnings its says to contact the Dr if I develop white patches in my mouth. I have had thrush recently but I dont think thats what it is however I could be wrong

this doesn't sound like it's the start of oral thrush.

Hi Jim, sounds like from all the thanksgiving eating and might have bit your tounge. Its on the side near your biting teeth. Are you sure its does not hurt even a little?
