Would a normal blood test show mono?

Hi,

For the last couple of weeks I have been not feeling well. Mostly just very tired with swollen lymph nodes and a slight fever with body aches. I went to the ER about a week ago because I wanted to figure out what was wrong. They did a urine test and some blood work on me but found nothing wrong. Now i think i might have mono. The doctor never talked with me about mono so I dont think he specifically tested me for it. I was wondering if it would show up on the test even if it was not being looked for. I dont really know that much about blood tests but they took 3 little vials and then told me everything is alright. I am still not feeling great and i saw that other serious conditions have similar symptoms ( like hiv). I am just kind of worried now and i want to know if its just mono or something else. Would it show up on the tests they did. Should I go to the doctors again? I dont have any insurance right now so I am trying to get as much free info as i can get.

Thank you,
Amanda

Sorry for the confusion but I was not tested for HIV. It was just a random blood test they did at the ER to try to find what was wrong with me. I was wondering if mono would show up on a test like that. And the reason I want to know if its mono or not is because i am scared. I did have one unprotected sexual encounter about a month ago. It was very quick and the guy said he did not go but i am very scared. Yes i know it is very stupid (it will never happen again) and I am going to get tested at the 3 month mark. But if i knew that the symptoms were caused by mono then I would be much less worried right now. Sorry if I am hard to understand. I just want to know if mono would show up on a normal blood test like that, even if they were not looking for it?

1.
if u had any unprotected sex before ur test in 8 weeks at least then ur clear from any std and its a mono
2.
protected sex if u had it then zero risk
3. if u had unprotected sex before the mark of 6-8 of ur test repeat the HIV test for peace of mind but symptoms or lack of it will not show u anything of hiv because hiv have no specific symptoms
