could i infect my boyfriend?

Ok. This is what happened.

So i contracted chlamydia from my ex boyfriend in march. I found out in April and got treated for it. I took the azithromycin powder to drink, and still had symptoms (at this time i am not sexually active) i then took a 7 day course of doxycycline still had symptoms, then i went in for a pelvic exam and talked to my doctor about my problem, she said i should not have anything to worry about but she perscribed me flagyl and levoflaxcin just in case. I took those and my symptoms slowed down but i still have the discharge.

I also did perform oral sex on my ex boyfriend during the time (march) and have not did anything since. So i now have a new boyfriend, i performed oral sex on him in april after i took my first course of antibiotics. Then last weekend (Saturday June 15) i had sexual intercourse with my new boyfriend with a condom. It did not break and i made sure of it.

My questions are 1) Is it possible to have chlamydia after all treatment? 2) Could i pass it to my new bf during oral sex? 3) could he have got anything during sex even though we used a condom 4) and is it possible to have the symptoms and not the bacteria..because i heard the antibiocts can stir up go and bad bacteria in your body

did your new bf get full std testing that included type specific herpes igg blood testing before you started to have sex together?

are your providers properly testing you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally when you are seen or in general are they just throwing antibiotics at you and hoping that they work?

did you also follow up with your full std testing after your last partner? you have to wait at least 6 weeks after your first partner to test for syphilis and 3 months until your herpes, hiv and hepatitis testing is accurate.

have you had your gardasil shots for hpv?

Yes, if your ex gave you chlamydia he could also have given you trich.

This would be from the person who gave chlamydia in the first place.

Hi and welcome. The best way to answer #1 is to get tested again. You could not pass this to him during oral as you had it vaginally and does not transfer up your body. He was protected from contracting those type of std,s using a condom. Depends what symptoms your having. Many inflamations of the urethra from these std's are due to toxic urine being flushed out through an already inflamed urethra even after the bacteria are dead still can irritate it. Testing is your best bet.
