herpes

Hi
Just wondering if HPV can be contracted through a needle stick injury?

I have warts on thigh and backside but not in genital/anal regions could these be ordinary warts or are they likely to be genital warts.  I have only ever had one partner and he is not visually infected and have had very few sexual encounters so was wondering if the needle stick injury could be cause?

First, you are talking about hpv and not herpes.  2 different viruses.  HPV could be transmitted by a needle stick however the HPV warts on your thighs don't sound like the STD hpv's.  Those would be on your genitals.  There are over 100 HPV's and 30-40 of them are considered STD's.  Everyone who has been sexually active will get HPV.  It's very normal to have it.
