how noticable are Genital Warts?

I tried to get this answered in the HPV forum but I don't think anyone actually checks that forum. I found a piece of skin that is grown above the skin right around the middle of the shaft on the underside of my penis. My only possible exposure is from protected receptive anal that lasted about a minute with a transexual CSW. She jerked me off and I came. The skin is REALLY small and is not noticeable with casual sight. I have to stretch the skin and turn it so I can see it from the side. I scratched the top off and it looks like a small bump now with a little red center but is not bleeding. How noticeable would GW be? This exposure was 6 weeks ago. This could have been here longer as it would be very hard to notice without really inspecting the penis. Any chance this is GW? Would GW appear in a location where no wart came into contact with that area? Could her hand have passed it to me? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. This is so small that I can't even pinch it or grab it with my fingernails. I have scratched it but all that happened was it made a bruising color around the area but it is barely noticeable unless you look at just the right angle. Basically, it looks like a little piece of skin sticking up. It's not really round and I can't see any shape because of it's size...btw, how big is 1 MM? Is there something equivilant that I could compare it to? Thanks

HPV is not always easily detected. Hpv usually looks like a cauliflower and it usually same color as your skin. THERE is currently no test for men.

Her hand would not have passed it to you.

Genital HPV is passed on through genital contact such as vaginal and anal sex. Both men and women can get HPV  and pass it on - without even realizing it. Genital warts can also be passed on by a person who has HPV but no visible warts. Since the virus can be silent for a long time, people can have genital HPV even if years have passed since they have had sex.

There is no set "look". However, generally:
HPV (Genital warts) look like small pearls, on the penis, anus, or female Genital area.
Size varies, from "small, 1-2 MM" to "large, 5-6MM".
Smaller and larger is not uncommon...
They may itch, or they may not.
There may be "one or two" or "lots" (20+ warts)
If in any doubt see medical advice, and avoid sexual contact with other until you know

I hope this helps .GL
