painful urination, pink eye, slight discharge

It seems like there are quite a few other people out there faced with similar symptoms, and so I hope someone can help me out with some helpful suggestions and advice.

-On the 16th of feb. I engaged in vaginal and anal sex with a girl that I met on vacation in South East Asia. After having anal sex we changed over to vaginal without changing the condom. Later on the condom broke.( Being heavily intoxicated) I did not notice the condom had broken and continued having sex for a while before I realized what had happened.( So I had unprotected vaginal but not anal sex with her, although I fear bacteria from here anus may have now been present.)  There was also unprotected oral involved both giving and receiving.

-On the 19th I had noticed some redness around my urethra, and had the need to urinate often, without any noticeable pain involved.

-On the 20th I began to have discomfort when urinating maybe a 3 on a scale of 1-10 ,along with clear watery discharge noticeable at this point.
On this same day I took 1g gram dose of Azithromycin, and also 400mg of Cefixime(Suprax generic).

-On the 21st I did not notice much of any discharge, and the pain when urinating seemed to lessen, as well as the redness around my urethra.

-On  22nd I had to fly home at night, and during the day things seemed ok. I did not have much pain at all when urinating and there did not seem to be any discharge.
Things worsened later that night and during my travels. While on a layover I noticed some slight redness in my left eye, although it was not very itchy,or painful. Later on during my journey my urination had become very painful a 10 on a scale of 1-10, and the amount was very minimal, maybe due to dehydration during my 30 hours of travel...

I arrived home yesterday the 23rd- and now my left eye was a bit more irritated and my urination was also still very painful. I started drinking tons of water , and cranberry juice. I also began taking doxycycline (100mg 2x per day), which I had incase of malaria on my trip. Instantly after regaining hydration I noticed my urination was not nearly as painful, maybe back around a 3 .

Today the 24th- My urination seems to be the same, uncomfortable but not as bad as it was on my flight.
My left eye is still red, but has not worsened, and there was a slight yellowish /greenish discharge in the tear duct(I believe signaling a bacterial infection) when I woke up.
Discharge seems to be that of left over urine dribbles that linger after I go to the  bathroom, but not clear and thick nor yellow , white, or green.

So I am a bit frazzled here!
1.If I had contracted Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, shouldn't have the Azithromycin and Cefixime cleared things up by now? Why after taking the meds did the condition seem to worsen???
2.Do you think the pink eye is directly linked to an STD? I was on a lot of planes , trains, and buses over the course of the last week or so.????
3. Wouldn't have the meds I had taken cleared this as well??
4.Could this be more of a UTI due to bacteria that made its way into my urethra that passed from my partners anus to vagina??Maybe resulting in a prostate infection??
5. Should I be concerned about the Adenovirus as well?
6.Will the Doxycycline most likely treat the pink eye, if it is bacterial?
7.Have I encountered a highly resistant strain of bacteria perhaps??

I know this is a tough case and I am asking a  lot of questions(sorry). I plan to see someone but I am without a GP, I am without health insurance, pretty broke after traveling, and am scared as can be..I feel that a clinic like Planned Parenthood is most likely going to give me the same antibiotics I have already had, so I am not sure if that is worth the visit.???
Maybe I should try a urologist???

Any info, advice, feedback, would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Scared Stiff

Do a search for chronic urethral discharge, redness of eyes and you will likely get Reiter's Syndrome, which can be caused by chlamydia. I have similar issues to what you are describing. Zithromax and Rocepin have gotten rid of the 'pink eye' as you are calling it, for the most part. My urethral discharge goes away for a couple or three days and then returns. I have a lot of shooting pains in my joints, which also is a symptom. Doxy does not help me with this at all. I also read on a proctologist website that chlamydia can be in more than one stage ,and that most doctors just treat the stage that is suggested with Zithromax. I think the chlamydia has gotten into my synovial and lymphatic systems, and causes the other form of chlamydia in the urethral system, which would explain the reinfection after clearing from Zithromax. I do not know what type of doctor to see for the synovial or lymphatic problems I suffer. The prostate doctor website talks about his theory of a latent, non-replicating phase of chlaymdia that does not respond to anti-biotic therapy. I think he may be correct.

Yeah I understand.
Just freaking out a bit.
I guess I am going to let things run their course for a few more days.
Now that I started the Doxy , I figure I should finish it. But will not plan on taking anything else until I get a professional opinion.

Thanks for your help.

1) Because the medication might not be the correct dosage or medication to clear a STD or it maybe a different type of infection.
2) No I don't
3) Can't say, different medications for different infections
4) Possible
5) No clue
6) Can't say
7) Maybe

Wish i could be of more help but only a Dr is going to be able to examine you, run tests and find out exactly what is going on. I suggest that you stop self medicating because this sometimes can cause more harm then good.
