period of incubation
Hi, people,
I find here that getting STD from oral sex is very rare but it can hapened.My question is:
1.What is a usualy period of incubation of STD?
2.Can it be more than 3 months?
3.Can sore troght (no painfull, just red)be a symt tof Gonococcal pharyngitis?
4.Can it tell on ordinary swab test or must be said to be specialy done?

1. incubation for most stds can range from five days to even years (depending on the std).
2. Most stds like gonorrhea and chlamydia can develop symptoms a week or so, herpes in the first case of outbreaks can be two weeks or so, Syphilis in the first stage is ten days post exposure, HIV symptoms are vague because so many symptoms can be of a different nature. But you would not need to worry about HIV too much from oral sex because there isn't much of data that would say HIV can be transmitted from oral sex, both receiving and giving. To go back to your question, like the ending part of number 1, depends on the std.
3. A sore throat can be many things, from a simple, run of a mill cold to something really serious.
4. Swab tests are specific so if you need to go check it out, discuss with your doctor about it for more information.

Thank you Aelly, as i can see...most STD bring them selfs in first month of exposure....not like in my case 16 weeks after...also i understand from your post and post of relative people here that hiv is not lickley to transmit and expasialy oraly(thee is no case of that in documented history of epidemic hiv disses) )so, i undesrtand that i no need to worry...
Thank you again, and you do realy a good think here helping people expacialy with statistic datea and calming a stress of smth stupid they did in their lifes.
