I havent looked on here since my last post so ill kind of give an update.

Symptoms are so sporadic and its funny how i have not felt anything for days until i notice there is a reply on here.

It all corralates with certain seating position i am in.  ifeel this mainly at workand am trying to see whether it is a coincedemce on how i am sitting quite often it does when i realise.  Lent forward feet tucked back.  Im starting tothink it could be more yo do with this.  At yhe time of possible exposure i pit on wait and wonder also if it is to do with this tied in to the possible trapping of nerves.

chesh33,
sorry i do disagree with vance on this one, in my opinion it is an STD, an STD that cannot be identified on any current tests.
STD stands for sexually transmitted disease, this is how you got it, so that is what it is, s*cks that the doctors cannot identify the bacteria that causes it because then they would be able to treat it.
I am in the same boat as you, and have not been able to resolve the problem either.
PS its not in your head.
I have gone through every test possible, all come upo negative.

Hi all, thought I would drop by and give an update 5 months after I last posted on here.

So I am being treated for neuropathic pain and am now taking Amatryptlian (possibly spelt wrong) 50mg each night.  It's was previously used as an anti depresent in higher doses.

I am of the opinion that this could well be sexual anxiety that is causing the problems, but still can't get the issues from my mind.  I have to come clean and say I cheated on my long term partner and I think this is where the anxiety comes from.  In away in my head I am like it's my own punishment for what I did and will have to live with it till it goes.

The tablets have virtually stopped the pain in the penis though and that is a blessing.  Symptoms now seem to be, a sort of prickly heat sensation sometimes in the groin, sometimes in the inner thighs traveling up across my bottom and in my back.  Sometimes this can be at the front of my stomach as well.  Different degrees of abdominan pain also.

Reason why I edge now towards the anxiety side is that I seem to find that the issue seems to be worse when I am at work, which makes me wonder whether stress could be a cause.  Although I get symptoms at home they never seem as bad.  Maybe last thing at night, with radiating heat from my body.

I am going to keep seeing the doc and keep trying to search for an answer but am almost  at the point of I aint going to find one.  It's a year on from the incident and I would think that if it was something serious it would of manisfested in some other way already and my partner doesn't have any symptoms like me at all.

Sorry for waffleing but this is the only place I have vented regarding the issue, and may come back now and again like today to say how I am getting on till I maybe find a solution.

My advice to anyone though is don't cheat it's defiantly not worth it, look inside and work out the problems that are making you think of doing it, the solution would be easier than trying to deal with anything that might happen afterwards

I'm sorry but we had done as much as we can on this forum. We are not Dr's and can't go through everything trying to rule this or that out.

If you want post in the Dr's forum, there is a fee but maybe they can explore a different avenue.

What about something like mycoplasma or ureaplasma?  If these are already ruled out what would the reasons be for that?

So ok..trying to think positivly now....

If it was an std....symptoms would more and likely include

Pain with urination frequently?  I would feel that daily yes?
Discharge this would if shown up by now?
Or i would have had some sort of spots blisters by now?

This is the the only place i have discussed this so you are my outlet :)

I think about the symptoms and roughly the main ones

Penis pain and abdominal pain started c.3-4 weeks after

Swollen lymph nodes (or what I presume are) c. 2months after

Numbness burning around testicles and bottom c.6 months after.

It almost feels like something is progressing.

Cheers Vance, I o appreciate the answers.  I am still sceptical but I suppose that is just because of the way my mind is working with it.

To get a name for it would put an end to it so hence the constant questioning.

Maybe but not a STD.

Pain is random and not unrination....

Ok so lymth nodes fair enough if it is only the ones that i have already tested for...

Could there be a different infection?

Start with pain...The pain happen upon urination not at random times.
Node swelling-Nodes swell to fight infections so in theory yes they could for a STD, but all STD's mentioned you have rules out based on testing.

Ok,

Lymph nodes....this site mentions STDS as cause

http://www.medicinenet.com/swollen_lymph_nodes/page2.htm#what_are_the_causes_of_swollen_lymph_nodes

Penis pain...this site mentions STDS as cause

http://www.healthline.com/health/penis-pain#Causes

I am not trying to prove you wrong but with you stating no it is not, so many other places say yes it can be.....

I just want to get to the bottom of everything

No they are not signs of a STD.

Ok then Vance can you debate it out with me?

From things that I have read, swollen lymph nodes, pain in the penis are both signs?  Also numbness or burning feeling around the testicles I am sure I have read also?

One thing I suppose I haven't mentioned in my latest post was the fact that I am feeling things more today - but I have gone back to work after just over a week and a half off.

I know what everyone is saying, but with the four week window after I just feel it's inevitable to find out it is something obscure...

Nothing has ever made me think a STD based on any symptom. And with the tests...it's not.

So I'm still here,

8 months now since the incident.

I'm still having issues -

Pain in the penis has kind of stopped almost two/three times a week maybe that I am realising and it lasts over the course of a couple of hours on and off.

I've got tenderness and pains around the armpits but not actually on them inside top of arm and towards my chest.  I touched on my chest and it did feel tender, makes me wonder if it is swelling of the lymph nodes.

Temp suddenly increasing like I was getting a fever, on and off almost every day still, comes and goes totally.

Still a lot of random adnominal pain was concentrated down in the lower right side for a while but seems to spread again

Also as mentioned above a burning at times on the lbottom of my testicles and also around my bottom this comes and goes never hangs around it is a kind of numbness can feel warm.  I have also noticed that my whole groin feels warm to touch - I can't remember if this is normal or not.

Tested negative on 3 times for Chlamydia, Gonahrea, Syphilis and HIV all post 3 months also tested post 3 months negative for Trich.

I just have this horrible feeling still it is still something STD related, although being told by the GUM clinic nurse, Dr and you guys here it is not.

Sometimes it just makes me want to cry at the moment and I suppose now is one of those times (hence the post)

I've googled till I am blue in the face re:STDS and the symptoms and what else it could be, and really do hit brick walls all the time and keep telling myself to try and leave it but I just seem not to be able to.

Never really had pain when urinating, no spots or blisters (except what look like Fordyce spots around the base of the head - I'm circumcised) or any discharge.

This all started roughly 4 weeks post encounter.

It's been two months since I last saw the Dr and am at the point of going back again.

If you take all the symptoms is their really anything else it could be - even f you take one or two of the symptoms could it be anything else...is there anything that possibly could be maybe just a slight chance?

Should change my username to 'At wits end'

As always thanks for your answers

So month and a bit further down the line to up date....i have seen no further medical person sonce the last tine and have just been trying to ignore synptoms which are so varied at the moment.

Pain lower left side of my back around my kidneys and the pain in my penis.  Somerines ive had a burning feeling in ny whole groin during the paon the penis and occasionaly a dull ache in my bottom or tesricles.  ( that has only happened in the last month thou).  Its still very random as in ivve just gone a week with virtually nothing and thought grest...then boom yesterday it call came back for sn hour or so.

I do have a question thou my partner seems to be having symptoms of PID.  I have almost managed to persaude her to go to the doctors, but she is saying it will jist be her IUD that is causing everything.

Now I testd negative for chlamydia and gonahrea so it couldnt be that which I hace read being the main causes of PID but could I have passed snything else on?  At all?

one thing she did say was that if I had been tested as stated above, then it really isn't sexual realted so I am now trying to focus my head totally away from this area even thou it keeps telling me it has to be - this is going to be the hard part and the bit ill try and focus on next in coming months

im going to see how it goes over the next month or two - 2nd opinion would mean changing doctors practice totally (in the uk)

if its still there or gets worse ill go back, but am going to try and do as they say and get on with things to see if it is in my head

prostatitis can affect any male, regardless of age ( well ok usually from 20 and up ).

many medications for neuralgic pain that don't cause drowsiness after a few days of use. I'd get a 2nd opinion if your provider isn't willing to treat this.

for the stomach pain - we have tried different things but now just got to take the rough with smooth as non working and they say its down to the meds.

the penis pain - no she said she could of given me something but it would just make me drowsy and that would not suit because I work

one quick question, she said prostatitis is ruled out because of my age, is that right?
