I've been married for 15yrs and never cheated on my husband. My husband has been outside our married a couple of times (but I'm unable to prove). I have been diagnosed with Trichomoniasis on 2 occasions in January 2013 and September 2015. In 2013 my husband was tested and his test came back negative, so I've been accused of cheating. I was treated for the infection in 2013 and retested which came back negative. Now 2.5 yrs later I went to my annual pap testing (which I get every single yr) and was diagnosed again with having Trichomoniasis. Of course I told my husband right away that I was diagnosed with this infection once again. My husband is still accusing me of cheating on him due to the doctor's keep stating that this infection is only caused by sexual transmission. Again, I've never been outside my marriage so how am I contracting this infection?? Someone please help me, because my marriage is about to be over if I can't get an explanation!

I was chatting with this lady at the doctor's office....her husband had died fifteen years earlier and she's had no sexual partners since. Her trich tests came back positive. She'd had it for fifteen years and didn't know.! Her body must've just adjusted to it and getting older and going through menopause she assumed the changes were due to that. So I'd def get that taken care of.

Yes, Trich has been shown to be transmitted in non-sexual means, but it can also remain undetected for a long time.
