Gonorrhea can cause problems for men, but infertility isn't one of them.

Have you tested positive for gonorrhea??  I keep asking you that, and you aren't answering me.

I can't tell you what medication you need because I don't know what you have, and because meds are often called different things in different countries.

If you haven't tested for gonorrhea, you don't know if you have that.  Its possible the symptoms you had were from bacterial vaginosis and that's different than gonorrhea.

If you don't know what the doc tested you for, you need to find out.

Have you all tested positive for gonorrhea?  For anything?

For gonorrhea, you'd both need a shot of ceftriaxone, and then would need to avoid sex for 7 days.

Gonorrhea shouldn't affect his chances of having a baby, but they aren't treating you for gonorrhea.  Those meds won't cure gonorrhea.

He needs to be treated if he has gonorrhea because if you have it, it might affect YOUR chances of having a baby.

OK you are taking clindamycin (dalacin) and metrodinozole (neopenotran).  They must think that you have either bacterial vaginosis or mycoplasma or ureaplasma.  Did they do any testing?

Is he taking meds?  Your meds won't affect him.

Its different for everyone.  Its at least a few months, though.

What meds are you taking?

Sounds like gonorrhea.  Get tested, and if it is, just take the meds and you'll both be fine.

Hopefully for monogomy's sake, it's just a weird bacterial infection and not an STD he "didn't" get from you.

Good luck.

Oh and you both should also test for HIV and herpes.

If you don't have insurance, and money is an issue, the most important ones right now, based on his symptoms, are gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU.

VDRL will only test for syphilis.  It won't test for other bacterial infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhea.

I would ask for a gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis and yeast testing for you, and gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU, and syphilis testing for him.

They need to look at his urine under a microscope, and if he still has the dicharge, they need to take a sample of that and check that out under the scope too.

Its possible he has a urinary tract infection, but his symptoms point more towards an std.

You both need to get checked as soon as possible.

Pointman is right - that's the same thing as an std.  Venereal disease is an outdated term that some docs still use.

I wouldn't just get meds.  I would get tested so you know you are getting the correct meds for whatever infection he has.

Greenish discharge indicates a bacterial infection, so he really needs to be seen.  If you've performed oral sex on him, or had anal sex, make sure you tell the doc that so you can get swabbed in all places of exposure.
