when's the soonest i can get tested
32 yr old guy, been in a relationship for two years and this week cheated and had unprotected sex. The girl was in a four year relationship until october and she has had multiple partners since then.
Now of course Im freaking out that i contracted something. my gf and i do not use condoms and im terrified to give her something. When's the soonest i can get tested? I live in chicago - im willing to pay for expedited results. Id rather not divulge to my gf that i did this. it was a mistake - i ****** up and i want to move on in the safest way possible.

So here's follow up question. I generally have a great deal of anxiety but have never experienced frequent urination because of nerves. The morning after the unprotected sex i started urinating frequently. That stopped until 2 days later when I urinated almost every hour. It continued the next day and was accompanied by slight pain in my urethra and testicles. my penis was a bit sore as well. Not sure what do look for as far as disharge but I didnt notice anything
The following day I went to the dr. She took a urine sample, pressed against my lymph nodes or glands or whatever - they felt sore. the dipstick revealed that there was no white blood cells but small traces of blood in my urine. She didnt think there would be an infection but results won't come back until Tuesday.
I called the girl who i was with, told her what was going on. Just telling her made me feel better, i think being all alone was making me fixate on my symptoms. The next day I feel great. Slight burning in my urine but otherwise feel fine.
So my questions are
Does it happen often where anxiety will create these symptoms? Does the fact i'm experiencing symptoms like 5 hours after sex support the assumption that i was imagining this?

unfortunately there are no fast and easy answers nor are there complete answers :(
you can test for gonorrhea and chlamydia anytime after 1 week post encounter.syphilis after 6 weeks. herpes, hiv and hepatitis after 3 months. we don't have tests for hpv or molluscum.
