im 99% sure of the condition that i have and from what i have read, the antibiotics i took are very successful in trateating these conditions however its very stressful untill the symptoms are gone and i dont expect them to disappear right away but im mainly concerned with how long after taking the antibiotics should i wait? some info on the web says it may take one to 2 weeks but as i said it is stressful and i learned my lesson and just want this to be cured
hello hellow!
With no medical degree I give my brief answers to your questions.
With no knowledge about the medication you mention I believe that it is possible that sometimes it may happen that the treatment does not kill the bacteria, therefore - especially when it comes to chlamydia, it is useful to re-test and get a negative result prior to proceeding unprotected sex with anyone (to avoid passing the disease forward and then getting it again from your partner).
An expert is needed for the second question, but for the third one, my opinion is that it is likely that your are still contagious if the symptoms are present. Like I mentioned, it's better to have a negative test result first, only then it is guaranteed that you are not contagious anymore. And remember, that there's always the chance that some other disease causes your symptoms if they refuse to go away.
Have you consulted an expert or got in touch with your partner to confirm what you might have?
