2 DOCTORS 2 DIAGNOSIS... what should i believe?

by paranoidx33, Oct 23, 2007 11:18PM
i went to planned parenthood after "thinking" i had an std a few days after having sex with a "new guy".

I had a lot of symptoms like itchiness, burning, discharge, my vagina was swollen, and after a couple of days i started noticing small bumps around the opening of my vagina.

The dr at planned parenthood looked at me and said i had genital warts and i needed to get them removed asap after NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THE BUMPS UNTIL I POINTED THEM OUT.

a few days later i went to my gyno and she said that i do not have genital warts. she said sometimes when girls have sex after a long time of not sex the opening of their vagina can get irritated and cause those jagged bumps around it. I was also diagnosed with a yeast infection. "classic yeast" she said... "nothing to worry about"

... the bumps are still there though. so i am nervous. who is right???

I was paranoid that i had herpes for awhile. my nephew just got diagnosed with coxsakie virus.... could i have given that to him???

Coxsackie virus is not a std. It's incredilby common in childhood. It's better known as foot and mouth disease to most folks.

At this point treat your yeast infection. If a week or two later you are still having symptoms return to the gyn and get retested for yeast and bacterial infections. If you really have warts - they will still be there and perhaps even be more noticeable and you can get a proper diagnosis of them.
