2 weeks passed by, still burning and discomfort at tip of penis

Hello Doctor, this is Brett.
I posted a question regarding my case on the 10th of this month.
2 weeks ago i had an unprotected sex encounter and started to have discomfort
in my penis accompained by burning the day after the episode.I had no discharge, just burning/ mild pain at the tip of the penis and a general feeling that things weren't going that well down there.
I am still abroad  for work and after the initial dosage of Zithromax(1 g) things didnt improve(they seemed to just for the day AFTER i took it),
so i contacted another doctor who gave me Ciproxin 500 twice a day for a week.
I am on day 7 now, and i still have burning at the tip, plus , having been observing my penis morbidly for the last 2 weeks or so, i do notice that the skin looks really dry and scaled still, especially at the base of the head, where i can see small "pimples" (not really pimples or blisters, since it looks i cant really pop anything..)

I am starting to be really worried about Herpes.

I unfortunately wont be able to go in to get tested for all STDs and herpes until mid July and i don't know what to do, besides worrying and having difficulties to think  about anything else.

I'd like to hear another opinion from you doctor, if possible.

I thank you in advance for your time and service,

Brett

Your symptoms don't sound like herpes.  Any bacterial infection of importance (gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU) are adequately covered by the antibiotics you have had; and the doctor who examined you would have told you if s/he found anything serious.  I am suspicious your symptoms are the result of anxiety magnifying normal sensations, not a sign of disease.  I don't have any particular advice at this point, except see (another?) provider if your symptoms persist.

Thank you doctor.

I will try not to think about it too much then.

However, since a box of ciproxin contains dosage for 10 days, should i extend the treatment just to be safe?

Thank you.

Take the drug in the dose and for the duration recommended by the provider who prescribed it.  You probably don't have anything, but it's always better to follow your own doctor's advice and not to second guess on the basis of an on line opinion.

Hi, doctor I was wondering if you could please answer this question for me in this thread, I have been trying for ages to post a question but its always full and this question is not the type of repeat question your always seeing come up every week so it may also be beneficial for others to see. Thanks.

Anyways, my question is, what do you think of the possibility of HIV transmission through oral to earings contact would be in the case that the ear piercing was recently done and still not fully healed. I dont believe there were any cuts in her mouth but there could have been (obviously didn't inspect). She also gave me unprotected oral sex for a short period of time (probably no more than 5 mins) but im really more worried about the possibility of transmission through the ears, she did tug on them, lick them suck them extensivley. I didnt notice any bleeding from the piercings because I didnt think of this until later but they were sore for a few days after. This person is what I would guage to be a medium risk individual, doesnt inject drugs or anything but im sure shes "been around the track" a few times, so to speak (this is not meant to be derogatory in any way I just dont know how else to get the message across). For the purpose of this question lets assume she is HIV +

what do you think ?

I am not a doctor, but I would say you have  no risk of HIV infection from the encounter you describe. HIV is a very fragile virus and difficult to transmit. If you are actually concerned about this non-exposure, get yourself tested to ease your mind. But it really is not necessary.

Looks like you were successful in posting as a new thread.  My response is there.  But ebro is basically correct.
