3rd TIME POSTING...PLZ NEED ADVICE!

by Tommy420, May 01, 2007 12:00AM
Does anyone here know anything about epididymitis?

As you  may or may not know, I was diagnosed with gonorrhea via urethral swab test 5 weeks ago due to my exposure, was given 250mg IV shot of ceftriaxone and 1000mg zithromax. About 3 weeks after my medication, I started experiencing pain in my left testicle, which has been going on now for about 2 weeks. I got another gonorrhea/chlamydia DNA PCR test last thursday, which came out negative.

Is it possible to have epidiymitis if you only had gonorrhea for 10 days before treatment and now the gonorrhea is gone?

I don't have any swelling, and the feeling I have is more like that of "pressure" and as if someone kicked me in the balls. It's not actual constant pain, but i do feel pain every now and then.

Is epididymitis always followed by swelling of the testicles? My doc said that the testicles weren't physically swollen, but recommended that I get an ultrasound.

Last question, is testicular pain a symptom of HIV?
