5 years of infection no cure, please help

I haven't had sex for 5 years because I want and need to know what is going on with my penis.  I had sex with a girl I barely knew at her house without a condom.  The next mourning I woke up and noticed my penis was red with skin that I could peel off and for about 2 weeks had intense itching on the inner thighs and buttocks.  A week after that the itching stopped on the thighs and buttocks and the color of the penis went back to normal a little bit but still seemed discolored with bumps at the bottom of the shaft.  I went to the dermatologist and said it was definetly not herpes and said it was "folicitis" and the irritation was just dry skin.  He gave me lotion to stop the itching and some sort of medicine pads to clear the bumps.  I did that for around 2 months and nothing changed and went back to the doctor who gave me skin lotion which didnt do anything as well.  I went back again and he insisted it was nothing but since then the bumps have spread more around the shaft and genitals.  There are also scar looking lines that streak around around the bottom of the shaft and itch pretty often.  The skin color is also not healthy looking either at times.  When I get out of the shower everything feels pretty good and the skin color looks healthy but the bumps are still there and when i wear underwear instead of boxers, the itching intensifies.  I dont have any pain when i urinate or any discharge and if i try to pop one of the bumps it either hurts a lot and just bleeds or some actually have puss it looks like that comes out of it.  The bumps are the color of the skin and some are red.  The bumps are always in the same location with small ones growing around at a slow rate but surely and the sizes differ from farely big to really small. Also, the skin where most of the bumps are located is sometimes shiny.  Please help,  this is a serious question and I have no where to go for answers because the doctor has failed me three times.  Desperate and thank you

Why don't you stop treating it with this cream and that cream, and just get it biopsied?

It could take quite a few days if you've had it for 5 years.

Right now I've done 2 days of the yeast infection cream and the itching has stopped but the bumps are still there.  If it were a yeast infection when will i see signs of healing so i know to keep treating it?

It could be yeast or jock itch.  Yeast sounds likelier because of the odor.  There are all kinds of OTC things you can try.

This is making me feel a little better.  I will see another doctor about it.  If it were a fungus, what kind could it be?  And is there anything over the counter that I can try to see if it clears up?

Odor suggests fungus.

Molluscum could last that long, but its not likely.  A fungal infection could.  We had a guy at my clinic who had it for 12 years, and thought it was herpes the whole time.

Nobody has ever done a biopsy.  If untreated would molluscum or any type of fungus spread slowly and last for 5 years?

I'd wonder more about fungal or maybe even molluscum than warts, but warts is a possibility.

Has anyone ever biopsied any of these to see what it is?  That could end this whole mystery.

The symptoms went away on its own and the pads that were prescribed to me were for folliculitis.  The lotions however were just meant to treat dry skin and were just your basic over the counter types, nothing special.  As for the soap he did tell me to use Dove which i use all the time even before the sexual encounter and for the allergic reaction, I am sure that is not the case because I never had a problem with the products before.  I am thinking it's genital warts or a fungus.

Do you know what kinds of cream the doctor gave you?  That would help to know if he was treating you for folliculitis, a fungal infection, etc.

Also, when you used the cream, did you stop using it once symptoms disappeared, or did you use it for a time after?

I'd also wonder if this is an allergic reaction to something - some kind of soap, laundry detergent, fabric of a washcloth, etc.  Use a soap for sensitive skin, like Dove unscented for sensitive skin, and a "free" laundry detergent, like Tide Free, etc.  You can also use a detergent made for babies clothes, like Dreft.  You can even go organic.
