5 yrs later

I was wondering can you get herpes if you had sex 5 yrs ago and never after it? Can you also get them from oral? Are they cureable or you have them for the rest of your life? I know i sound stupid but i want to know. Any help will be great. Thank you

Can you please keep all your questions to one thread?  It makes it much easier for those of us responding to have all your history in one place.

You could have herpes and not know it.  Yes, you can get genital herpes from someone who has oral herpes type 1 if you receive oral sex.  It would then be genital herpes type 1.

Its not curable, and you would have it for life, but it can be managed.  We have a great herpes forum here that you should check out for more info.
