I'm a bit confused - women cannot have prostate infections...abnormal PAP smears are most often caused by the HPV virus, which can cause dysplasia (abnormal cervical cell changes).  Sometimes, abnormal PAPs are caused by infection and inflammation.  Hope this helps.

I know the women cannot get a prostate infection, but i got a prostate infection from another girl.  Least i believe thats how it happend.  I woke up the day after i had unprotected sex with a girl and had groin pain so i went to the doctor and he diagnosed me with a prostate infection. i figured it was from her.

Sorry, I misunderstood that :p  I don't know much about prostatitis or its causes.  I believe that infection can contribute, but I'm not sure how common it is for an STD to cause prostate inflammation.  Sorry i can't be of more help.

It would depend on what is causing the prostate infection.

You also wouldn't get prostatitis symptoms the day after being infected with something.  That's way too soon.
