Advice on condition

About 3 1/2 weeks ago I recieved oral sex from a women that I was dating.  In the process she cut me with her teeth on the upper shaft of my penis.  The blood scabbed over, but shortly after I masterbated, and reopened the cut. And initially when this happened I did itch on the cut itself.  Well over that period I masterbated additionally.
About 2 1/2 weeks after contact, I itched in that same area, and its swelled.  There were no signs of blisters, just a small cut, which I am hoping since it was the same area, was the same cut, just infected, or inflamed from my careless habit.  After that, I left it alone and a yellow scab formed, where as I masterbated again, and recieved the same result.  I have researched online, and know that herpes is not always shown by blisters, but other signs as well, and sometimes not at all.  The problem is that herpes, can be different from person to person.  I went to the docter and he swabed the area, and I should recieve a result by next week. He gave no real thought except that it may or may not be herpes.
For a sound mind untill that time, I just need to have some additional ideas of what this may be symptematic of.  My mind is going in allot of directions right now.  Please Help.

There is no particular reason to believe herpes might be contributing; clearly the lesion initially was an injufy, and it sounds like it could have been repeatedly irritated by masturbation etc, delaying healing.  On the other hand, it certainly is possible to have  both problems; or for trauma to contribute to the severity of a lesion due to herpes, that might otherwise not be noticed.

If the test done by your doctor (undoubtedly a culture of the lesion) is positive for HSV, that will be defnitive.  If negative, it won't tell much; many herpes lesions are culture-negative, especially when healing has started.  In that case, you could have a blood test to see whether you are infected with HSV-1, HSV-2, both viruses, or neither one.  (See other threads on "herpes diagnosis" to be sure your doctor requests the right kind of blood test.)

Good luck-- HHH, MD

I just came back from my annual pap exam and I started bleeding during the examination.  The doctor told me it could be due to Clamidya.  How much is this accurate?  I am also 4 days away from starting my period, could this be the cause?
