Answe: Periodic tip of penis pain after ejaculation, burning

I have had this same problem for about 12 years (since I was 16). (Pain after ejaculation, pain in penis while dehydrated and blueballs, burning sensation after sex in penis, pain in penis because of alcohol and so on) As a lot of you have mentioned, keeping hydrated all day helps. Also when at college I used to get this sensation when I flirted and made out whit girls a lot without ejaculating (blue balls) over longer periods. This lead me to find that if I masturbated before going out drinking the pain that comes with alcohol is greatly reduced and goes away quickly, but drinking while the bitestical is swollen with sperm (blue balls), the pain comes and stays until you ejaculate (same with coffee). In general, all substances or activities that are dehydrating (caffeine, alcohol, excessive exercise or sauna without rehydration) can cause this pain. One thing that is a bit out there is that I’ve found out that stimulating your prostate (with a finger or your girlfriends) causes a more violent ejaculation and you never get the pain afterwards. This, and other statements on this forum such as forcing a bowel movement (which also stimulates the prostate) leads me to think that this is a prostate related problem. Also as mentioned earlier ejaculating before drinking helps empty the prostatic fluids (which is what the major part of sperm is made of) and relieve pressure from the prostate. There are two more or less common prostate conditions which can cause these symptoms that we experience, chronic nonbacterial prostatitis and medial prostatic cyst (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8632560?ordinalpos=2&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum). Both are treatable and a competent urologist can diagnose this conditions.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.  I have been looking for answers to this issue for a long time.  Whenever I posted this question on other websites I got the same answer over and over.  You have an STD.  But I know for a fact, that I do not.  I have only had one sexual partner (my girlfriend of two years), and actually did get tested for everything during that relationship because of having recieved oral beforehand (I did this for my girlfriend), who was clean.  Besides, I always wore a condom when we had sex.  So, I am so happy to find other guys with this problem.  I will read through and see if any of the advice helps.  Thanks

Thanks for the input ThisIsGood88, but remember health and science behind isn't always so white and black. Different people might have different problems and similar symptoms.

I am finding how interesting  how many guys are describing this problem, but yet there arent many answers from doctors.

I don't have solutions, but I can tell people from my experiences that when I have more sugar in my diet... whether it is from coffee, alcohol, soft drinks, or other foods that I have the problem much more often. If I cut out alcohol, coffee, soft drinks, and watch my diet... the problem doesn't completely go away, but it has become MUCH more -rare- and less intense.

So, I recommend.... at least trying to watch your diet for a couple of months and see if that helps.

ok dude first, it has nothing to do with your diet, simply nothing. i know why its happening, u can actually call it a good thing. i know for sure that most people suffering with this problem arent suffering from premature ejaculation.. why?? because ur kegel muscles (the ones that make u stop peeing/ involuntarily contract while ejaculating) are very strong. the stronger they get the harder it will be to ejaculate the more violent the movements of semen and the higher the chances of damaging the soft tissue on the walls of ur urethra. 4 months b4 i started having this burning i wasnt doing kegel exercises ... 4 months in and it feels better but also it damages something inside my **** and it burns and peeing is the only temporary relief... ive found that if u feel urself about to ejaculate.... tense ur kegel muscle as hard as u can keep it held tensed until it gets sooo tired when u ejaculate it just oozes out doesnt feel that great but still ... its better then burning ... hope this helps

OR you could just not drink as much alcohol, limit the caffeine, increase the water intake, etc.

Forcing a bowel movement can lead to anal fissures and hemorrhoids and that's not good either.

But yes, prostatitis can be a real issue for men, and the link you gave is a good one.  I also wholeheartedly agree that a competent urologist is a must to diagnose this.
