AuntieJ Quick Question

I am a straight 47 year old white non dug using circumsized male. I have had about 6 sexual partners in the last 3 years.  Always Condom protected for vaginal but no condom for oral. Always recieve oral never preformed oral. Non of my partners we csw. Last encounter was about a year ago. I tested for HIV about 18 months ago and was neg.  But after reading all this stuff on the net I realized I have not been tested for STD's besides HIV.  now I have not had any encounters in about a year. and Never had any symptoms or anything , no warts no puss no discharge, no lumps no sores  no anything.  My question is there any std that I could have that would not show any symptoms in over a year that I could have gotten from recieving unprotected oral.  I read in one of the post that some symptoms would have shown up by now a year later.    And should I run out and get tested ?  thanks  for your time ...

The only things you might want to test for are syphilis (which is rare in the US) and herpes.  Ask your doctor for a type specific IgG herpes blood test.
