Bacterial Infection vs. STD, HIV

by megan1279, Feb 15, 2009 05:26AM
I went to the doctor due to the symptoms I had after the night I had sex with my bf.  My vagina got swollen and itchy.  I also felt a tingle and have discharges.  My bf is the same except he does not have discharges.  It stopped though for him after 5 days. I got tested for Bacterial Infection, Chlamydia and HIV.  My results for the bacterial infection is negative.  Does that mean that the STD and HIV test results will also turn negative?   What are the chances that i may still have STD but negative in Bacterial Infection?

No, the bacterial infection is probably referring to bacterial vaginitis, which is different than an std.
