I hooked up with a girl at a bar with out using protection. how long should i wait to be tested. and how likely is it that I caught something

You can be tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea 2-3 days after possible exposure. HIV and syphilis tests are very accurate (about 90%) after 6 weeks (3 months for near 100% accuracy). Herpes will usually show up 3-10 days after exposure, and these sores can be swabbed for testing. If no sores appear, you likely did not get herpes, but sometimes you can contract herpes without symptoms. Blood tests for herpes are most reliable about 3 months after possible exposure.
