Beta Strep

Dear Doctor.

I had an unplanned "incident" last saturday night 9th March, both unprotected sex and oral sex.

I went and had a full std screen on monday morning 11th and took 2 x 500mg of Azithromycin while i was there.

I have been back for the results today and everything came back clear exept the doctor told me i have an Streptococcal infection (Beta Strep he called it). I have been given 14 x 500mg Clarithromycin tablets.

Im looking into it but all i can find is it effects women, i have had problems in the past with water infections but this is a new one to me.

I have today had sex with my wife and am worried i might have given her something, should i be in the clear or should i go back again next week for another test.

Thanks in advance

Thanks, I'm guessing the antibiotics for the Strep would pretty much clear out any other infections.

Saturday-Monday...too early for many STD tests. Only gonorrhea would be possible to tell at that point.
Strep is not a STD.
