Blisters? Warts? Herpes? Or something else? (w/photos)

Thank you doctors for your valuable time here on this forum. It's a wonderful service you are doing!

I am a 46 year male who would be considered very healthy by most standards. I have been traveling in south america for a few years and have had various heterosexual encounters somewhat regularly. Some might be considered somewhat risky, but nothing obviously foolish. I almost always use a condom, but sometimes not for a few moments before putting one on and never perform sex anally.

About three weeks or a month ago, two blister-like bumps appeared near the base of my penis, one about 5 days before the other. (One right at the base, the other about two inches up on my body). They are red with a whitish center and soft. (They are not common pimples, as I do have those on my face almost regularly that seem to be stress-related.) They do not itch or hurt in any way, have not grown, but certainly don't seem as if they are in a hurry to go away. There are surrounded by hair, but don't seem to be right on a follicle.

Which is my concern. If they were some form of herpes, or even not, after three weeks, I would expect *something* to change.

Obviously I should see a doctor for these, but as they don't seem to clearly be herpes (from what I could ascertain online) I was hoping to wait a bit and see what happened.

Also, my groin area can sometimes get a little "rashy" do to the sweating I have a tendency to do more than most. Especially when I exercise, which is usually daily. The rashes are mild and go away on their own or even faster when I apply a powder on it.

So my question is: COULD these be herpes, and if not, what the heck could they be, and is there anything I could do at home to help these go a way?

I have posted a photo of each here:

Thank you for any guidance you can provide!

you also need to make sure that herpes testing was included in your std testing. typically it isn't.

I already said your symptoms don't sound like they are herpes. you will however still need a proper exam to find out what is really going on so you can properly treat it.

no, none of the std experts look at pictures either.   it's our combined policy.

As I said Dr's don't post here, you have to pay to ask them a question and I don't think they look at pics either.

Hi Grace, although I have been tested for STDs in the past, it has been a few years. I'm just looking to see if anyone says something like "what you have is absolutely NOT herpes" and if so, I would skip a new round of testing.

But if any doctors look at my photos (or goes by my description) and says "it COULD be herpes", then I would go an get tested.

Thank you!

That's why I posted a photo! (Although I suspect I don't have diaper rash.)

But if it's policy to not look at photos, I undertsand that you are obviously much more limited in your ability to help me.

Hoevere I was still hoping there was some information that could have been acertained by my fairly thorough original posting. Something like "herpes never appears as solitary "bumps", or "if there has been no change after three weeks, it's probably not herpes, as..."

I guess I was overly hopeful in that sense. Again, thanks anyway.

Tell me, how even a Dr can tell you over the internet what you have without an exam and without possible tests?

You could have herpes, HPV, MC, pimples, zits, bug bits, heat rash, diaper rash, scabies, shall I go on?

What's the point of posting if the only response is "you should see a doctor"? I KNOW I should see a doctor!

Thanks for the reply, anyway.

1. We don't look at pics
2. If you want a Dr's advice then you have to pay and post in the expert forum
3. Bupms can be many things, see a Dr for an exam
