Blisters on Penis

Blisters on Penis

I am a 36 year old white male. In the last month, I had blisters to come up on my foot, one in on my gum of my mouth and then 2-3 on my penis. At the same time, the flu was going around and I caught that, too. Well, the blisters popped and began to heal. I have had no pain in the blister area, redness, irritation, painful urination, or pain in the stomach area. Today 2 more blisters showed up under the rim of the penis. I have had an unprotected sex a few years ago. I am married and feel as if our relationship is monogamous now. But want an opinion. It all seem to begin with the blisters on my feet and the flu. What do you think?

Thanks

If you really have blisters (bumps filled with clear fluid) scattered around your body as you describe, you might have had a systemic viral infection like hand foot and mouth disease, or other viral infection; or any number of potentially serious dermagologic conditions.  Since the problem seems to be continuing, you should see a health care provider promptly. True blisters on the penis of course raise the possibilty of genital herpes, but that wouldn't cause the lesions elsewhere.  In view of your sexual history, a new case of genital herpes seems unlikely.  Certainly no other STD is responsible.  Beyond those comments, I cannot speculate. You need to see a provider directly, preferably a dermatologist.
