Boil, itchyness,

I made a poor decision to have unprotected sex two weeks ago, and a boil started to form on the upper left side of my vagina near the underwear line. I attempted to drain it after a hot shower, but its still there. Also I have a lot of itchyness in my vagina, and urinating is slightly uncomfortable.

I am really scared this is an STD

Do you know what this is, am I ok?

You might have an infected Bartholin gland duct--which can be due to chlamydia, gonorrhea, and also to non-STD infections.  The vaginal symptoms and discomfort urinating also are potential signs of STD.  See an STD-knowledgeable health care provider soon, such as your local public health STD clinic, or a family planning clinic.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
