Boyfriend has mole? Wart?

Hi,

I've been with my boyfriend for some time (still new, but definitely trust him... he went to get tested for all STD's when asked and everything came back fine). However, since the tests we have become more intimate. I noticed what looks like a mole on the right side of his shaft. I guess it looks somewhat like a brown pencil eraser but NOT quite as tall? My first concern was a wart, but I asked him about it and he said he's had it his entire life, or at least as long as he can remember. He is a "mole"-y guy. He has several on his back, etc. Does this sound like something to be concerned about?

if he's had this all his life then it's a mole and not hpv going on.

did you both have your gardasil shot series for hpv?

I don't think he has. I haven't yet either, only because I've heard so many mixed opinions regarding it.

So he had it looked at, and the Dr. said that it was a mole/skin tag, but I'm still worried. Is that really something pretty common that I should stop worrying about? I have a pretty hefty fear of genital warts (as I've had small ones on my hands - I even fear giving them to myself or him genitally via handjobs, etc)... so the skin tag thing sort of freaked me out. I agree that it looks more soft/movable than a wart. Is it time to let the whole notion go and enjoy being together?

skin tags are very common. why doubt what his provider said?
