Bumps on inner thigh

About 3 weeks ago, I noticed a cluster of 4 bumps on my inner thigh where my thigh and groin meet about halfway down between my waist and scrotum.  The bumps are hard and are red.  They have never itched or burned.  I actually didn't notice them.  My wife was the one who noticed them.  I had a doctors appt the next week, so I had him check them.  He said that he wasn't sure what it was.  I asked about Herpes, and he said that Herpes blisters have more of a yellow color than what my bumps have, and also the fact that they don't itch, burn, or hurt doesn't sound like Herpes.  He gave me a prescription for a fungal/steriod cream.  He told me to use it for 10 to 14 days and that if it didn't get better, then to come back in and he would refer me to a dermatologist.  When I got home I was trimming my pubic area so hair would not be in the way of the application of the cream and I noticed a larger bump about 2 inches above my penis on the same side as the other bumps.  It is about the size of a normal pimple.  I applied the cream the doctor gave me and the bumps didn't decrease.  It doesn't look like they have done much of anything.  They have not gotten any bigger and there are no new bumps.

Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be?  Does it sound like Herpes?  Like I said, the bumps have never hurt, itched, or burned.  I have tried calling my doctor back to schedule an appointment, but he is on vacation until the start of the year.  I am freaked out by this.  I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

If the bumps I have are red or pink and don't seem to have any blister characteristics at all, and if they don't itch, burn, or hurt, is it likely that it wouldn't be an STD?  I have been with my wife for 13 years and before that only had a couple of partners.

What I can tell you is to see a Dr and most will probably say the same thing in herpes. Bumps, rashes and things like that can be so many things we can't tell you what it is, only a Dr can.

I didn't know if it could be that or something else that I am not aware of.  I have never heard of Molluscum Contagiosum until today, so I know that there is a lot of stuff out there that I am not aware of.  Just thought I could possibly get some answers here.  Sorry.

I moved this over to herpes forum since you are asking about herpes. No need to repost this here.
