Burning urination

by lastmistake, Sep 22, 2007 08:11PM
2 nights ago I had unprotected sex, now, I am experiencing painful urination.  I have read that burning urination occurs with chlamydia and gonorrhea but I don't know how soon the symptoms occur or if they could even occur this quickly. I also understand that for women sexual intercourse can cause UTIs and that it is pretty common.  I am not experiencing any other symptoms.  I also drank cranberry juice and water and it has seemed to subside the burning sensation although there is still a slight feeling of irritation.  Does this sound more like a urinary problem or is it possible that it could be an STD?

2 nights isn't enough time for Chlamydia or Gonorreaha to incubate and exhibit symptoms (about 7 to 10 day I'm pretty sure). It's highly unlikely that for a female, your urinary tract would be infected with STD unless penis secretions got in there.
More than likely some other cause - rogue bacteria, yeast or bladder infection. Go to the doc and have your urine checked - good to be sure for piece of mind.

2 nights is enough time for gonorrhea symptoms, but not chlamydia symptoms.  Last mistake, go and get tested and give us an update.
